Subject: Thanks for all the information, Donna! Erin is 7 years old. Her strokes happened when she was 2. It's interesting what you said about anxiety being a cause for the heart racing. I was wondering about that myself, because one of her strokes did affect her emotions, so sometimes she'll cry over things that don't make sense to the rest of us. She's extremely sensitive. There's a commercial with a rooster walking down the street in the middle of the city, and whenever it comes on, Erin starts crying. She says, ''Mommy, the rooster'', all upset! I think she may be worried about the rooster, thinking it's lost or something. I always do my best to soothe her. I get anxiety attacks sometimes, and my heart also acts a little funny, with occasional palpitations, but I've always attributed it to stress. We'll just have to wait and see what the tests show next week. Thanks again for all the info, it makes me feel better knowing other people have these issues and are living perfectly normal lives!.............nina

Subject: nina, sometimes when a child gets scared so easily, it's because something scared them when they were very little. When my nephew was 2 years old, my brother in law would go around the house and check every window to make sure it was locked, then he would try the front door and pull it back and forth to make sure that was locked. He did the same with the front door. We never knew why my nephew is a worry-wart and why he's so scared all the time - my mother figured it out. I have actually went over his house when he was 8 yrs old and prayed over him. He's 26 now and has ADHD. He's still a very nervous kid. But that's because he wont' take anyting for his ADHD so don't let that discourage you - if he took his medicine, he'd be fine. You're doing a great job with Erin (((huggs))))). I will be praying for you both.

Subject: Thank you, Donna! Your poor nephew! Thanks for sharing that story. I wonder if this is really all just from stress. She's been through a great deal in her life, and it has to take a toll. If this is stress related, I'm going to do everything in my power to help her, I'll tell you that! I'm already trying to make her life as normal and calm as possible, but unfortunately, I haven't got as much control over the situation as I'd like. If only I had a magic wand, I'd make it all better for her. It sounds stupid, but it's true. Thank you again for the prayers, it means so much to me.............nina
