My nephew is having trouble with his memory card for his digital camera & I was wondering if someone here might have an idea on what he could do to fix it. He said he can see the pictures on the camera when he uses the review button but when he tries to add the pictures on to the computer it will not add them. He has asked someone at Walmart & that person told him he thinks there is somethine wrong with the memory card. He is so disappointed that he might not be able to get the pictures printed & we are keeping our fingers crossed that someone may have an idea on what to try. Has anyone ever had trouble with their card before, or if you have any ideas on what we could try, I sure would appreciate any help on this. Thanks so much in advance.

OMG, He's having exactly the same problem I had awhile back. It's crazy you could see them on the camera, but they wouldn't show up/ upload onto my computer! I was freaking out, as well.
I took my camera to Wal Mart, and tried the kiosk (as some said below), but that didn't work, either.
My camera has a USB mini cable that plugs into the camera and into the USB on the computer. Leave the card in the camera, turn the camera on, plug it into the USB port on the computer, and that should work. It did for me, and I really breathed a sigh of relief!!
M son, a professional photographer, told me to do this. He also said to upload all my pictures onto the computer and then re-boot the memory card. That erases everything on it. I haven't had any problem since.
I hope this works for him. If he doesn't have a cable, I'm sure he can purchase one at Wal Mart. Let us know if that works for him. Good luck!

I chimed in on another comment below that had an excellent idea.... but what kind of camera is it?
I have a kodak 1063, and the usb cable that came with it has a bad end. I have to move it around and jiggle it just so, or my computer will not recognize the camera is attached to it. I know I should get another one because it is a pain but I haven't yet, so I just complain and deal with it.
We use three sizes cards. At one time the thick card would not work. We did have a computer guy fix it. It wasn't the card the problem was in the slot. I don't know how but maybe some metal contacts were out of shape ??
The fact that your nephew can see the pics in the camera is a good sign I believe.
Just a bit of digital advice. Buy lithium batteries they last so much longer its unbelieveable. I spent so much more replacing regular batteries over and over again They're more but will end up costing less believe me.
Hi Karen
I don't know much about loading the pics on the computer, but when I want prints of my shots, I remove my memory card from the camera. I can take it up to our CVS pharmacy. They have a machine there with a slot in it. You feed the memory stick in there and all your prints come up on the screen. Then you choose the shots you want and the machine prints them out right there, along with the reciept, give it to the cashier and pay (I think, about 19 cents a print).
