Today is my 33rd birthday, and so far it is off to a bad start...lol. I'm getting sick, spent about 3 hours coughing last night, got about 4 hours sleep, probably pissed off the neighbors, have to work, start 12-hour days tomorrow for the rest of the week and the weekend, and am losing my voice, so I can't even talk to my family, who lives about 14 hours away. I was healthy for so long when everyone else was sick...why couldn't it wait until next week?!?
On the positive side, I am shelving the diet today a bit, going out for lunch with a friend, and have a massage tonight (my birthday present to myself). I'd also like to think the deployment to Europe is the military's present to me as well...lol.

Message: Thanks everyone for the birthday wishes! I am feeling a little better now, but my temp has been fluctuating the past couple days. I suppose I should take this time away from work to actually rejuvenate myself so I am ready to return to work! :)

Message: During the day, I began developing flu symptoms...chills, body aches, possible fever...this all came on VERY suddenly. All I had last night was a bad cough. All day I have co-workers asking if I have the Swine Flu! ARRGH! I begin a 4-day exercise tomorrow, and I hope I feel up to it. If I have a fever and flu symptoms tomorrow morning, I may end up having to take a sick day so I can get checked out! They even sent me home early today. I was not well, and still feel like crap. I plan on taking medicine to get through the day and night, and I hope this is the worst of it. I almost never get sick. What rotten timing! :(
