Wow, I can't believe it- I move to my new apartment TOMORROW. It has come so fast! I feel like just yesterday I signed the lease!

I'm at work now, but tonight I'll be packing up all of the stuff remaining and then heading to bed. I have to pick the UHaul up at 7 a.m. tomorrow and be moved into my new place by 3. I only have one guy ("moving help" from UHaul - only $25/hr!) helping me because the others who were supposed to help bailed! ARGH!

Anyway, I'll be around through tonight. After that, I'm signing off until I get my new internet connection at my new apt (Monday a.m., barring any complications). Fortunately, I took all next week off from work, so I can take my time getting settled and getting to know my new city. I just keep thinking, next weekend, I'll be laying by the pool at my building for July 4th! Whoo hoo!!!

So have a great weekend everyone and I'll talk to you once I'm settled (hopefully I'll have pictures too!)

Thanks you all - I'm about to break down my internet/computer now, but just wanted to reply to everyone here.

Petey is going outside on the harness tomorrow while we move out (barring any rain). He loves it and Clark will keep him company as he will be outside with him. Then, I'll put Petey in the truck with me and off we go to our new place :-). My mother will be there helping me unpack and she'll also watch the cat while I finish bringing stuff in.

So - I'll talk to you all later! Bye!

You've been looking forward to this a while. You will be so happy after you get settled in. Don't overdo it, moving can be hell. I know Petey will probably be claiming your bed the very first night. Sleep well, you two.

Oh, I am so thrilled for you DebS! It's so exciting to be moving into a great new place, especially with a pool. When I lived in St. Louis I had a great townhouse with a pool right down a few steps from my patio. Those were some of the best days! I know you're gonna love it.

Keep us informed and we want pictures! Oh, yes, as someone below pointed out, please keep Petey safe and sound, maybe in his kitty carrier till all the doors are closed and things have calmed down. I'm sure he'd feel safer in it, anyway. I'm sure you know what's best.

Good luck, DebS! I hope this move is everything you have wanted. Please be careful of Petey. He may be a bit traumatized even though you've only had him at that apt. a couple of weeks. Check in with us soon!
