Today we had our pride parade "All souls day".. fifteen minutes into the parade I hear the beginning of "Thriller"...the float was half way down the street. It was a copy of the "Thriller Video" in the graveyard. There were "Zombies dancing to Michael Jackson's "Thriller". I was not surprised seeing this for some reason..i seem to be waiting for it. My camera was open and on..ready.
There were several floats and mobile radio trucks decorated and playing either Thriller or Billy Jean. This was "All Souls Day". The pride Parade honored Michael Jackson today and it was a nice tribute.
Normally we have the pride weekend in summer but the last two years it rained..hard. I mean hurricane winds, thunder, lightning..dangerous winds. So the local gay community decided to change the pride weekend to November.
Some guy with a camera took my photo..good grief. I take horrible photos. I was just in black designer denims..Gloria Vanderbilt, my green celtic cross sweatshirt, with a cloak i made from Irish print cloth.. nothing gay pride about it but I was flamboyant enough I guess..lol! Maybe it was my glitter make up arround my eyes.. or maybe it was the fact that I had painted on the sweatshirt U2 in silver frabric paint and sequins..all over the front.?? lol!
