Topic: Happy Halloween! What are you doing to celebrate?

Additional Comments:

I'm not that big into Halloween as far as dressing up and all, but I love having the lights out and candles burning while I watch a scary movie. Not horror, but a suspensful thriller, like Stir of Echoes. I do like seeing other people all dressed up though.

What do you like to do to celebrate this spooky day?

I had the 2nd Annual Halloween Bash at my house.  I was in a townhouse last year so this was the first one in my new home.  There were only half as many people as last year (15 this year as opposed to 25-30.  It was great though -- had a graveyard done out back.  I dressed as Michael Jackson.  Everyone had a great time.

  • *dressed as Michael Jackson?*
  • Glitter, I did indeed have the one 'sequined' glove, fedora, curly wig, red & black jacket. I didn't have time to get the fancy jacket like I wanted to because I had death in the family on 10/10/09. It put me behind with everything. Anyway, party was great and the costume wasn't half bad. Also had quite a few Michael Jackson songs playing including Thriller of course. People kept trying to get me to do some Michael Jackson dances but I didn't have nearly enough drinks in me to do that lol! eom Mike
  • M.J..family loss
  • Thank you, Glitter :)

Mr. Ingy and I dressed as Gomez and Morticia Addams and handed out about 14 lbs. of candy.  It was insane!  We had the ''cemetery'' in our front yard, a fog machine, a ''cauldron'' of dry ice, a strobe light, it was all very creepy and spooky!  Afterward, we went out for drinks and then dinner.  We expected to see more adults in costume since Halloween was on a Saturday.  There were some but not as many as you'd think.  Party poopers!

I watched 'Skeleton Key' with Kate Hudson last night.  A good, spooky movie.  I'd watched bits and pieces before but never sat through it long enough to really know what the plot was about...  it definitely was suspenseful and spooky enough to watch on Hallowe'en night. :)

  • I have seen the Skeleton Key a thousand times and still drag out the DVD often. I just never get tired of that movie! eom Mike

I just got back from Salem. Now I'm exhauted, and I feel like my feet are going to fall off from walking all day!

It was a blast, though! I love Halloween and Salem - so two of my favorite things at once was more than I could take, LOL!

As it turns out, nothing. I have a dog walk at 6:15 and sunset is at 6:10. I wish I could do the dog walk earlier to avoid the kids and I think it will freak the dog out a bit too. I have a bit of candy and was going to buy a box of treats last night but decided against it so now I'm glad. Hope all that are doing something enjoy it!

Public halloween party, if I have the energy.  Too much candy nibbling has left me drowsy.

We are friends with 2 couples in the neighborhood, we all have kids around the same age and they all get along great.  We will go trick or treating first (8 kids) then head over to one of the couples' homes for a bonfire, chili and beer.  We are really looking forward to it!  I always take my stuff in on Halloween and *go dark* because we won't be home.

The THRILLER reinactment will continue forever..it's been all over the world from America to Beijing China..the world just as well get used to Michael Jacksons' influences in everything now. Whatever it takes to keep Michael Alive..will be done.  Thanks for posting the photo.. they used Thriller to advertize Halloween costumes. I 'm sure there will be lots of little "Michael Jackson's" trick or treating tonight..moonwalking.

I'm not a big Michael Jackson fan, but every Halloween since 2002,  the Parks & Recreation Dept in Lexington (KY) have part of downtown blocked off for a ''Thriller'' reenactment.  They had it last night, and I couldn't go, but I'm sure it was especially good, considering.  They invite everyone to dress as zombies and come join the dance.

I'll be Trick or Treating with some of the grandkids tonight!

Nothing here.  The kids are too old and country living means no little hobgoblins.  Suits me fine.  We are going to order pizza and watch hockey.
