Additional Comments: My son dropped my cellphone in the dog's water dish Monday morning & I was unable to resuscitate it. So I called the company & they told me that my contract was expired & I could get upgrades on both of our phones for FREE if I renewed my contract. I got on their website to look at phones & asked my son to help me pick one out. I had an ulterior motive asking for his help as I wanted to know which phone HE liked so I could get it for him & give it to him for Christmas. He doesn't know about the 2 free phone deal. He loved one of the phones & hated the one I liked, so I ordered them both. I chose a cute little Sony Ericsson Slider in pink. The one he will get has a touch screen & 2 keypads. WAY too complicated for this non-teckie. It took me forever just to get the back off to put in the battery. Then it took 3 tries to get the SIM card out of my old phone & into the new one. Then I plugged the charger in upside down. I tried turning it on but it told me it was locked? I am not good at reading manuals but I have read this one. Still no luck. Good grief, I feel like such a dolt! It's going to take me forever to figure out this darned phone! He's went to a school dance & then spent the night at a friend's. I wish he was here to figure out the phone for me. It's embarrassing when your 13 year old has to figure out all the electronics in the house. LOL

Message: Liz, I can SOOOO relate to this post. I am also among the non-teckies. I'm lucky I can use the computer. LOL. I got an MP3 player for Christmas last year. Had no idea how to download songs or how to load them into the MP3 player. My 12 year old (he's now 13) grandson had to do all that for me. LOL. I'm kinda sorta "older" and didn't even get started on computers (or any kind of new fangled electronics) until 1997!!! LOL. I kinda learn as I go. Heck, my hubby had to show me how to listen to voice mails on my cell phone. I think I finally got the hang of it.
