We had a lovely, simple wedding ceremony. We said the traditional vows rather than writing our own. We did change Until death do us part to For the rest of our lives. 48 family and dear friends attended. My brother was my best man and Red's cousin was her matron of honour. Neither one of our mothers cried. Since we're both over 30, I suppose they were glad to see their children finally getting married. The reception was at a restaurant in downtown Ottawa, an area called the Market. We went to Mt. Tremblant for 4 days and don't return to work Until June 30th. Our home is coming along. It's a shell of a house! We've been invited go to the new neighbourhood July 1st party and told we'd better be there. All wewere told to bring was beer lol. Apparently since it starts in the afternoon because of the air show, it's a family party which I think is great. I hear they do fun stuff like road hockey, riding lawn mower races, surviver game for the kids and the best...Rock Star and Guitar Hero contest! We can't wait to go!
We are so happy and love the place we are in our lives. I was told by my dad that the best was yet to come. How could I be so lucky to have found this wonderful life's partner. She agrees!!

Mrs., that's the first time I've written that word pretaining to me! Feels good!!!!! I am awed by the number of such wonderful responses from all you nice people wishing George and me happiness. We have taken our vows very seriously and will work hard to make each other's life the best it can be. Our parents are wonderful role models.
December 31st was the best day of my life, I met George. He stuck in my mind after the party , I thought he was interested but he didn't make a move so I thought...damn! If you remember, he thought I was with someone but I wasn't. Then to read his message just by chance .... I couldn't believe it. His name isn't even George And here we are. I believe in fairy tales!
How great is it to read something really wonderful for a change. Even though I don't know you I am tickled pink at your happiness and good fortune. I wish you every good thing in your futures together.

Thanks for the good wishes from everyone, much appreciated. When we got home from our honeymoon, Red is the one who reminded me to message you guys that we were back and all went well. We still shake our heads at I guess you could call it cyber fate lol.
We won't be putting any pictures on line as we both work with the public and have decided to remain private and anonymous. But maybe when our home is complete we will sneak in a picture and we'll be in it somewhere.
Thanks Ingyandbert for the thumbs up to a whirlwind romance but when it's right, it's right.
Has anyone every dealt with Buy Direct? We're leaning that way.
Hi there! Congratulations!!!! I love your story, it's almost like a Harlequin romance lol! And who doesn't love a romance, especially 'old ladies' like me lol! May your lives be filled with laughter, mutual respect and good old fashioned love. From the sounds of it, your new beginnings are all of those. Your moms didn't cry...that's a good sign!!!!!
And what is so neat is....you'll be my daughter's neighbour!!!! I heard your house is coming up really fast. Perhaps you'll get to move in earlier than anticipated. You'll meet my sons etal as well as they're going to be in Ottawa on July 1st. My daughter doesn't know it but it's her surprise 40th bday party as well. NO GIFTS! We attended one year and it's a hoot. What really impressed me is how the kids are all included in the fun. Guaranteed you'll be made welcome and have a blast. My only concern is...aren't you a Leaf's fan? You're in Senator's country there!
I'm Happy for you George....The best is yet to come!
This post makes me smile. :o) I'm so happy for both of you. Congrats!

Congratulations!
And I think your dad is right. It reminds me of that verse, "Come grow old with me, the best is yet to be."
