Additional Comments:

I'm so sad.  George Carlin was my favorite comedian.  I became hooked during the 80's when all of his comedy specials were airing on HBO.  The man was brilliant!

I'm so glad I had the pleasure of seeing him perform live once, back in the early 90's.  My friend and I were sitting at a table right in front of the stage, so we were gaga over the fact that he was making eye contact with us during his routine.

George, you will be greatly missed.  Rest in peace.

I, too, am really saddened by this news.

He was one of the few brilliant comedians left.  The so-called comedians of this day and age, just do not do it for me.  Carlin, indeed, was brilliant.

Remeber him from Outrageous Fortune?  Loved his stand-ip routines and also loved him in this movie.  Not a big part, but so very funny.

I read the news shortly before coming in here.  Carlin certainly had a nice, long career.  I really enjoyed him in his earlier days, doing characters like the Hippy Dippy Weather Man.  Hubby and I always loved his routine about stuff that goes bad in the refrigerator.  He'll be missed.

Oh my gosh! What a shock. My husband and I have always liked his logical humor. And my 20 year old recently became a fan of his.

He was my favorite, too, by far.  I was a fan beginning in the '70s.  He had a great blend of intelligence and wit and will be sorely missed.
