Subject: A good reason for Paul to rush back to Genoa City would have been if Heather had been seriously injured in a car crash. But instead of setting up an elaborate car crash scene, the producers had Heather faint. eom

Subject: I thought that was weird also. She fainted, which may or may not be serious. It could be that she's just overworked, so why would Paul think he needs to leave Nikki alone in a strange place and risk flying home in terrible weather? Why not have Heather's mother come to GC instead of Paul?............Diane M

Subject: Ok. Now I understand. Was it Heather who called Paul? or Adam? IMO Paul's reaction to learning that Heather 'fainted' was overdone, but it probably is reflecting his guilt over neglecting her in the past. I do agree that a 'mere fainting episode' was insufficient to have him running back to G.C. though - especially as he was leaving Nikki on her own at such a vulnerable time. eom/faysie

Subject: Actually, leaving Nikki there was not Paul's intent. He told her she had to return home WITH him but she refused, INSISTING on staying to find out about Victor. Lucky for her, Mighty Mouse Nick is on the way to save the day............Augie
