Could River Baldwin be Jill's next hot love? She seems to enjoy Gloria's men, so why not??? I always wanted him to come into town and just take the women by storm, just be this hopeless romantic, the one the women had to have, even Lauren. But I guess he's going to be some hippie that Michael will have to defend. Maybe River can get all that tension out of Jill, she needs it.

I'm sure his return will cause conflict for Gloria and Jeff, they got together too fast, I'm sure the writers want to see Gloria get paired with River, or at least cause conflict.

On another note, I think Cane is just going to grab Chloe and just have sex with her one day soon. I think he's attracted to her, but he is holding back. One day they'll fight, and he'll just lose control. Funny thing, the actor who plays him said that he would like Cane to have an affair with Lauren!!!

According to the SL he was a 'hippie' (presumably) in the '70s..... he's also an activist, and has something of a record as you'll find out. People change. I'm laughing that anybody thinks that a hippy or flower child of the '70s is going to remain the same 30+ years later.

Resident Genealogist Baldwin comment: Who would name a Baldwin offspring a name like River? Baldwin has strong, traditional English names like Michael, William, George, John, etc. My first name can be found among Baldwins who lived in England in the 1400's (Creative, we're not; we're traditionalists and historically name children after relatives). But River?!

Actually, there are land things named after Baldwins, like Baldwin Mountain or the Baldwin Rocks (don't laugh-they're both near the Baldwin homeplace in what was VA). So maybe it is acceptable. But a human Baldwin named after a landmark? This guy should be interesting.

There is nothing off-color about 'the Baldwin Rocks' but I'm sure someone will say something. :)

As for Jill: since the woman has money, you can bet the Baldwin guy will make a bee-line for her.

His given name was Lowell. I think he changed it in the 60's. Gidge.

Those type of names were very popular in the 60's and people changed their established names John, Mary, Bob, Kathy to River, Spring, Ridge, Chastity, It was not unusual for the time and the kind of person he was. I still think he was a hippie and I don't think he maliciiously killed anyone but he didn't stick around for a trial. Gidge

LOL, check out Bold/Beautiful. Ridge, Thorne, Brooke and Storm MUST have been a bunch of 60's babies. I just can't picture Steph and Eric as flower children, though. But they are in the California area where that movement was booming and the timing is right.
