Looks like the walls have finally closed on on Vincent Irizarry's David Chow.
The verteran daytime actor will be leaving his role as the newly married husband and gambling addict of Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott).
No word yet on when his last air date is and the official word came via Irizarry's official My Space page.
Now that he's leaving Genoa City, maybe Vincent's other character Nick McHenry (Guiding Light) will turn up in Springfield or even Port Charles as David to shoot the breeze with his ex-wife Anna Devane (Finola Hughes).
Here's hoping another soap will pick up this talented actor.

Message: Actually, I'm kinda enjoying this storyline FINALLY! The writers have drawn this out long enough with David's gambling problem.

Message: I don't care how evil David turns out to be, nobody deserves the punishment of being sent back to GL!

Message: I really hate that this is the route TPTB have chosen, I have never thought they have really given this character much thought and have just thrown out whatever they needed to support a SL at any given time. I was really hoping that they were finally going to give us some real characters with he and Nicki and they would fight to work through his addiction like real people but instead they are going to make him a murderer which I think is scape goating. In addition they are going to send Nicki right back to Victor which is so insulting to any woman with an ounce of self respect or self confidence. I really think that they may be it for me....Nicki in a big white gown pledging her true love to the old goat is more than I am willing to take. So much potential and so little creativity....IMHO.
I would like David to be the murderer, but I'm thinking he's just the clean-up guy. David is the kind of person that would do things behind your back, but IMO, too whimpy to be a murderer. I am kind of leaning towards Walter being the murderer.
Now are they going to pin the Newman jet crash on David too? That would make sense to me, because Jack was scheduled (as was Sharon) to fly on that jet ride, and Jack had just fired David...if my memory is serving me.

David's character was shady from the beginning - remember the Carmen thing with Dru. I hope he takes the wrap for JiMin and I wish it would come out that he did murdered Carmen and that Jana's memory was jacked up from the tumor she had. Maybe she did knock Carmen out in the back room of the coffee house but then David stumbles along and finishes her off and Jana thinks she killed her. It would be a great way to redeem Jana - I really like her. If David is leaving they may as well wrap up the JiMin murder.

I still like David. I guess he's such a big underdog, and he really hadn't done anything wrong other than have an addiction, and now TPTB throw this murder on him, and give him an exit off the show.
*shrugs*
Going to have to say TPTB didn't have a clue since day one what to do with VI. The man has talent. Write something compelling for him. You have untalented people on the show with more material than he. Confused.
I'm doubtful that David is actually the murderer. I think we're just being teased.
From Walter's dicsussion about how well David fixed things, I'm suspecting he's just a talented 'fixer', or some other twist. But (for some reason) I'm not seeing him is the one who commited the murder. I think he's sleazy and Nikki needs to be rid of him, but I haven't been able to buy him as a serial killer. JMO

Message: Hallelujah! I think I am going to pop a bottle this evening because this has been almost two years TOO long! The sad thing is that even on his way OUT the door, TPTB have no clue on any kind of direction for the character of David Chow.
