Message: I used to go to a restaurant that served alcohol and did karaoke on Friday nights. They allowed kids to sing until a certain time, I think it was 10pm, and then they had to move to the non-bar/non-karaoke part of the restaurant.

Minors are allowed in clubs where food is being served. Since Indigo serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner, tehcnically they are a restaurant that serves liquor. Nothing unusual about that...hell, lots of restaurants have bars...even many of the Denny's restaurants have lounges.
I think that the bigger problem is that if I go to a nice restaurant with entertainment, I don't really want to hear a kid sing. However, our society has gone so overboard on the whole "family friendly" and "kid friendly" concept that it's impossible (and politically incorrect) to go anywhere an expect an environment for adults.
This story line just rides that stupid bandwagon.

Message: All ff moments for me. Didn't even hear any of the dialog. I am really bored with the Winters family, as a whole.

Message: Ditto. In most jurisdictions, Neil could lose his liquor license and be shut down for having a minor in his establishment. The only thing I could think of is if Indigo's also is considered a restaurant, maybe he could get around that.

Message: It isn't routinely done, but there are times when waivers are granted that allows minors to perform where alcohol is served. The guidelines are usually very strict though.
