Additional Comments: The writer's are so freaking busy bringing in too many new character's that all the interesting storylines are forgotten. I am dying to know what that safety deposit key holds that Kevin has. I hate the fact that they made jerks out of the viewer's as we all know Victor had a vesectomy, and now seems to be the proud beaming daddy to be. I hate the fact they turned Michael into a wimp as well as Lauren bowing down to Gloria's never ending demands for them to help her. I hate the fact that Phyllis once was an interesting character, and now has turned to a repeat mode of definetly's and oh yeah sure's. I think Jana still has a brain tumor, as this character is getting on my last nerve, enough with the streaks and ouigi boards. Ok i spelled that wrong, shoot me. If Sabrina has a freaking secret, out with it already ! All this hype the are giving us with this July Gala accident, it better be good, and not a let down like the disaster of out of the ashes. Please no more freaking "coma's " for months ! Bill Bell i can't tell you how much we miss you, when you were in charge, this was indeed a great soap opera. By the way, i got my electric bill today, hence the rantings and ravings, pardon me while i go hang myself on the dining room chandalier, umm chandelier, oh heck, never mind ! I'll just go stick my head in the oven, waitttttttt it's electric.... forget it.

Message: ah Maryann you do have a way with words!
You aren't alone! My utilities rant: they stopped my garbage pickup and turned off my Internet just TWO WEEKS after a flood! Which made all the sense in the world-sever the trash pickup in the middle of clean-up from a flood, and squelch all communication. I had five feet of water in my basement, and two feet of water around the house, so I didn't pay the bills on time because I was a little preoccupied. Duh!
Then I decided I had to get away for a few weeks. I visited my Mom, and lo and behold they turned my water off a week ago. I called about my cable bill last Tuesday and caught it just in time-the day before they were going to turn it off, too.
Moral of the story: If you're ever in a disaster, expect that your utilities will suddenly come due. The utility companies know that FEMA and flood insurance adjusters have been in the area disbursing money, and the corporations want some money, too.
I was so miffed that I called my senator. I can't believe how lame-brained people are sometimes. The flood just happened on June 5.
So when Y&R characters were trapped in the parking garage in "Out of the Ashes," did any of them return home to find their utilities cut off? Did the utility companies turn off Victoria's electric while she was in a coma? Now THAT would have been realistic. Geesh!!

Message: Agree with most of what you wrote but I like Jana. I like her a lot. I think she's so cute and I like those color streaks in her hair when she has it. I see a lot of young people and it's pretty common. I hope Sabrina doesn't have a dark secret making her some unsavory character because I like her too. It's not that I like having every single character be a lovely person because in most cases conflict makes the story interesting. Now take Jack Abbott. I love PB in this role. He does it so well. He's actually a corrupt, dishonorable man and he does it so well. I loved him today. He was so awful. He's a guy I love to hate. Now David is a different story. We already know he's a killer and recently accepted to do another job. He's not one to love--his personality on the program isn't that kind of character. He's the kind that will be gotten rid of. But they have to keep Jack. He's unfortunately, the only Abbott left. I wish they'd never gotten rid of John Abbott and wish they'd bring Ashley back.
Hey Maryann...things are tough all over. I got a note in my mailbox the other day from the phone company and it read: "Dear Valued Customer,
We at ****** would like to inform you that as of Aug. 1st, you will be seeing a slight raise in your monthly bill. We regret this event, and know how important it is for you, our valued customer, to save as much as possible. Enclosed is a list of calling plans you may well want to consider. We would also like to reassure you that you will continue to recieve the same outstanding service as before. Have a great day. Sincerely,**** *******. AAAAAGGGHHH! Well at least my service isn't going to start sucking now that they are going UP on my bill! Good thing the good people of Genoa City don't get things like utility bills and tax hikes. Maybe thats why they always seem to have mucho dinero.

Message: I'll trade you electric bills. Central California requires lots of air conditioning! But please keep your head out of the oven.
There are so many dingles and dangles of unfinished story lines, it's no wonder they are ruining characters (like Phyllis). How can they keep up? And now, they are going to be throwing a pregnant Chloe into the mess at Restless Style.
