I like the bad boy character of Deacon, and I would love to see him reek some havoc in the bedrooms of GC, and did anyone notice the chemistry between him and Phyllis today?

  • YES!!! I thought I was the only one but for a moment I could've sworn they were about to kiss!

I do not know if he was sauced or not but I do know that the reason i have never warmed up to him is because I like originality and I hate copying and It has always seemed to me that the YR tptb have just tried to model him EXACTLY after all the characters James Scott (currently Elvis ''EJ'' DiMera on DOOL) has always played on Soaps.

  • I liked the bad boy Deacon when he first appeared on B&B... and I liked him and Amber together back then. GJ
  • I agree about the comparison to EJ. Interesting that Hogan Sheffer essentially wrote the same story for Deacon that he wrote for EJ on Days: forcing some woman to marry him. Sheesh, talk about unoriginal.
  • Considering that the Deacon character was created around 10 years before EJ, I'd say it's the other way around. ~i&b
  • Then maybe its just something about this particular actor portraying Deacon that seems so much like James Scott to me, Ingy - chris
  • Im with ya, TAB....GJ, i never saw BB so i hope he was better on there than he is on YR! - chris
  • SK was also my favorite AJ on GH. He did an excellent job in that role. I liked him well enough on B&B. eom

He was also drinking onscreen, but that was tea IRL (or colored water).  It is called acting for a reason!  Just because someone is on, or off the wagon onscreen doesn't mean it translates to RL.

  • Reading comprehension fail.I realize that the character was drinking and that he is portrayed to be somewhat discombobulated as of late. I realize that. What I was saying is that the actor appeared drunk.
  • I guess he is a really good actor if you thought his being drunk was for real. That is why it is called acting!!!!
  • It was confusing, FG, because you said you heard the actor was back on the wagon (not the character).
  • My point was/is, it doesn't matter what the actor's RL situation is. He was ACTING in a scene, playing a fictional character who DOES drink, even if the actor doesn't IRL. Whether he does or not IRL isn't the point. He was ACTING. eom
