I'm guessing that 1) Cane will begin to bond with his surrogate and start mooning over her. And 2) The pregnancy might turn out to be somewhat difficult for Mac, but she will persevere, with complete bed rest, endearing her even more to the turnip head. And this will also mean no sex for Mr. Teeth. Billy won't last. - Yasmine

ITA that something is going to happen with the "fertilization".
It could be a rewrite of a former Days s/l when Sami got pregnant with twins and each baby had a different father. Of course, in this case, Mac wouldn't be the bio-mom of either baby but Billy and Cane would be the two fathers of Lily's baaaaaybeeeeies.

That couldn't happen because conception will have occur via in vitro fertilization. The egg and sperm will meet in a lab petrie dish, then the embryo will be transferred to Mac AFTER fertilization.--mp.

I agree with another poster who said that Mac will miscarry the fertilized eggs and Lileee so wants a BAYBEEE if she's told they are miscarried she would not pull through and die. So thinking fast, Mac and Cane make the ultimate sacrifice and get it on so Mac gets pregnant with the understanding of course Lilee will have the baby. But guess what happens!

Since their using the bio-mother's previously harvested egg, I think it's already fertilized in the lab with the bio-father's sperm prior to it being implanted in the surrogate.

When did normal medical procedures ever stop them?
Yasmine, I don't think you're right about that. The eggs are just harvested and frozen, unfertilized. SQ
But they will fertilize them with the father's sperm (Cane) so it is a non-issue.
SQ - I didn't mean the eggs are ''already'' fertilized now. I meant what Bertha says. That an egg won't be implanted in the surrogate until after it's fertilized in the lab, so it really isn't just an egg anymore, but an embryo. I don't think they'd risk losing Lily's eggs and just hoping she'd get pregnant via sex as the original poster seems to be suggesting. They'd fertliize one first in the lab, then implant it. Sorry about the confusion with my ''already'' - Yasmine
Yasmine, I just heard Cane say on today's Canadian show that they only have two EMBRYOS! I couldn't believe it - he said embryos, not eggs! So I was coming back in here to tell you you were right! LOL SQ
