Additional Comments: of Heather Stevens' career. What a first-class, USDA-approved 100-percent grade-A dumb-ass. She is trying to prosecute a man who (a) she tried to prosecute once before, for a different crime, and lost BIG TIME; (b) she candidly admits she has a grudge against because of the aforementioned screw-up; (c) is her boyfriend's father; (d) has blackballed her boyfriend's career; and (c) doesn't like her. Can you say "gargantuan, undeniably apparent conflict of interest"? Perhaps when her law career dissipates into the black hole of nothingness, Kevin can hire her to pour coffee at Crimson Lights.

Has it been explained why Victor is being tried in GC?  Since the 'murder' was committed in Mexico, why hasn't he been extradited back to the scene of the crime?

I'm disappointed in the writing for Heather. She was such a promising character, and still could be, but she's suffering from that Y&R syndrome where there must be an idiotic, overzealous law enforcement person who obsessively goes after an innocent party. Remember that one detective, a black man, who had that unfortunate role for, like, 3 unjustly accused parties in a row?

  • Was that Hank Webber? He was the only other detective I remember in recent times, and he was black.
  • Hank Webber, that's who I was thinking of. There was another one before him who was presented as even more of a stooge. I liked Hank Webber, it's too bad he had to be the straw man. And now Heather's the straw woman. --Mira

Yeah, this is the moment that will drive Heather over the edge.  First, she will find out that Adam was in on forging the diary, and then she will have to eat crow to let Victor go.  She will not have a career of life in that town.  She won't have Adam.  So I see the end of Heather coming fast.

Yes, I will enjoy the crash and burn of this self absorbed twit as well.  I will especially love it when it comes to light that her sleazy boyfriend fabricated the diary..thus effectively ending her career and their relationship.

  • The 'crush you like a cockroach' line was so great, I laughed out loud. A soon-to-be classic Victor-ism. eom

That remark about Victor almost ruining Heather's career made my jaw drop.    What!??   Now I see why she is furious at Victor  -   Victor had the nerve to be innocent of the murder of Jai Min (sp?).   So now Heather again, is not on a search to find the guilty person  - she is wanting to get revenge on Victor for spoiling her conviction record.    Just wait until she finds out about Adam's part in this deal.   It's going to be sweet.

  • I can't wait for her to find out about Adam's role in this! eom
  • Yes, that was definately a WTF moment. Victor not being guilty ruined her career.
  • ITA. That little speech made it all too obvious that she's got a personal agenda here and is motivated by revenge rather than seeking justice.I also dislike her for her attitde towards Paul. She was happy enough to take credit for the the results HE produced in resolving the Ji-Min murder. Heather did very little of that on her own. But now that he's not falling all over himself to try to trip up Victor for her, she gives him the cold shoulder. Heather and Adam actually deserve each other, but I think their days as a couple are limited as she'l have a fit when she learns Adam's part in all this. /faysie

LOL...well said.  Victor didn't black-ball Adam's career though, it was Neil (he admitted it to Adam).  He said that he responded "no comment" when companies called to check Adam's references.  I was listening to Heather's little monologue about how Victor almost ruined her career last time.  This confused me.  He ruined her career because he didn't actually commit the murder? LOL  Should he have confessed to a murder he didn't commit because he should have some desire to help Heather's career along?  LOL...what a joke she is.

  • 'No comment', LOL e.g. 'Hire him at your own risk'
  • As soon as Victor was accused, he went to Heather's boss and tried to get her fired. He kept after getting her fired until she finally was. That's the reference. --Mira
