Young And The Restless Discussion Group
Right now there's a few storylines I love and a bunch that seem idiotic and I can't stand watching.
Love:
Adam and Heather; also Adam and the Newmans
Nikki and David's recent drama (here's hoping the writers keep it interesting)
Karen's reappearance on the show (but again I hope the writers keep her strong and her relationship with Neil believable)
Can't stand:
Gloria and Jeffrey; Gloria vs. Jill; Gloria's travails at work
Restless Style executives sniping, ugh, boring and unbelievably stupid
Michael's endless merry-go-round with Gloria (tedious, hammy)
For me, the jury's out on the new character Tyra, but she seems to have potential so far. (Hope they tone down the child actor, though.) I didn't mention Victor and Sabrina, because I'm still waiting to see if they address the vasectomy issue.
So, I tallied the replies and there are some clear favorite and disliked storylines here.
The biggest favorites, by far, in this very unscientific poll are Adam + Heather (and Adam's entree into the Newmans), and Nikki and David's troubles. It's also clear that Michael and Lauren are well liked.
The biggest NO's, by far: Cane + Lily, the Gloria/Jeffrey/Jill triangle, the Victor and Sabrina lovefest scenes, and Restless Style.

LOVE:
anything between Katherine and Jill
Gloria getting on everyone's nerves, especially Jill
any hope that Daniel and Cane could become lovers
any mention, however small, about Sheila, or her possible return
Hate:
Victor's remarriage. It's just either unbelievable or ridiculous that a man marries this often. Poor Sabrina is a casualty.
Jack and Sharon as a couple
sorry but I don't like Phyllis, and I could leave Nick too
SORASing and Cane as Jill's long-lost son (though I like Cane himself)
probably forgetting alot, since there are many reasons i don't like the show
Love
Adam and Heather
Jack and Sharon esp. when they irritate Phyllis
Jill being bitchy to Gloria
David and Nikki
Amber and Daniel
Neil and Karen but they need to be more interesting
Tyra - good potential but no more singing daughter
Dislike
Victor and Sabrina doing anything at all
Nu Colleen - go away!!!
Jeff and Gloria - it's nice to see an older couple front burner and I used to love them together but the back and forth has driven me nuts
Ditzy Chloe - give her a better story; love the actress
Blue Shirt panting over his baby girl - UGH

YR is really enjoyable these days. The only thing I don't like is Jill being so vengeful, it's like she wants to fight all these battles, and everybody around her is not interested. What I would like to see is Gloria get Jack into Jabot with something on Nikki, sort of throw her out and put Jack back in. I like Jack and Gloria being almost humane to each other, they get nice scenes.
Hated Devon's attitude with Neil, that's for sure. But his aunt, cousin, and girlfriend (when we see her) make him watchable. But his attitude to Neil was just disgusting.
Restless Style gets more pointless every week, and I wouldn't be sad to see that go.

Nikki/David...very curious how this will end
Jack/Sharon...I can't believe I like them as a couple
Brad messing with David...such an @ss, but fun to watch
Adam/Heather...I started out not caring about either but I'm intrigued
SO SO:
Vicky's Sabrina anger....too bad she's softening towards her
DISLIKE:
Restless style...Phyllis being the website master of all masters is annoying, especially when she gets these "hip and happening" ideas.
Nick/ MYBOY in general....Dude, totally awesome. It's like....dude!
Victor and Sabrina....I can't stand Sabrina and what a delicate flower she's supposed to be. I want her taken down NOW. YOUGOTTHAT!
Katherine/Jill: All the re-writes have killed these two and their dynamic, sad to say.
The early 20's group...Can't stand Lilly or any of her drama. The new Colleen sucks, and I'm not feeling Chloe either. And Devon is the worst. WHO CARES?!?!
Cane: Annoying. No way is he Jill's son.
And finally Amber and Daniel....both need to be dropped off a cliff now.
LOVE:
The Nikki & David drama --- how will this resolve, they are both addicts, so do they cling-on for more drama, do the curb-toss, or what? Will Victor and Nikki slinker on back to one-another? (dear God I hope not, can't stand the way those two relate)
The All-Gloria All Day All-the-Time Network --- No, I'm not gonna dis this lady, I love her! With Jeffrey, wherever they put her. What a hoot she is!
Jill --- love this character in her every storyline BUT want her more fleshed-out with a lasting love she can sink her teeth into (no pun intended)
Mrs. C and Amber --- love the memoirs she's doing with all the flashbacks
Tyra --- it's got possibilities
Adam --- love TGVN's latest offsrping, and the subtleties (and not-so-subtleties) of his character brought out so far, this storyline has so much potential
HATE:
Lauren --- has no storyline other than to play off of MIchael and Gloria, I've been a Lauren fan since the beginning and she is worthy of SO MUCH MORE
Lily & Cane --- boring together and they don't fit well with each other
Jana's wedding --- who cares?
Neil & Karen --- she's too good for this dweeb
Devon --- Oh God, please just go away.........please!
ON THE FENCE with --- Chloe's, Victoria's, Sabrina's storylines these days...
Can't stand:
Any more of the traveling $50 million. Fast-ship it to Mars on the next thing going.
Any more mush from Vic and Sabrina. Their story is ok, but spare us the noise.
Would-be papa Cane. Send him with the $50 million.

Love:
Adam and Heather. It's only going to get more interesting when Victor insists that Adam stop seeing her. Their relationship also raised a few eyebrows (ie Jill, Kay) at the wedding.
Nikki and David's recent drama - here's hoping that David will continue to bring Nikki down until she has to be rescued from this mess that she's gotten herself in. Paul? Victor?
Sabrina's alleged pregnancy - It's going to be a hoot when people in G.C. start finding out. I'm very interested in Nikki's, Ashley's, Jill's, and both of his children's reactions. Ha.-ha
Karen's reappearance on the show - but I hope that she gets in a new relationship. I think Neil is going to end up with Tyra anyway.
Can't stand:
Gloria and Jeffrey; Gloria and Gloria. I'm so sick of watching her.
Restless Style executives sniping, ugh, boring and unbelievably stupid - Let's hope that the magazine goes kaput....and soon! And no more business adventures for this foursome. And let Jack go back to Jabot. Let Nick & Phyllis finally get sick of each other and figure out that they need to work seperately during the day.
Kevin & Jana's wedding planning. Get on with it, or end it.
Victor & Sabrina's uber happiness and love ins. If they are going to keep them together, fine. But stop making us watch their gooey mushy love scenes.
