Topic: Was John McCain in the zone of silence or not?

Additional Comments: Was watching CNN while eating lunch and apparently two reporters saw John McCain walk into the zone of silence (or whatever Rick Warren called it) after it was announced he was in it. I was not able to watch much beyond this but apparently it will be discussed more on CNN today, Rick Warren will be on Larry King tonight.
It will be interesting to see what the story is or if there really isn't one. Frankly I was surprised by McCain's performance since it was in stark contrast to the way I have seen him stumbling for words and misspeaking on the campaign trail and often having a deer in the headlights look, especially on the health insurance company covered Viagra issue. Even so I could not help humming Barbara Ann (the Beach Boys tune he sang bomb, bomb Iran, during his more bellicose moments when he was threatening everybody in the world was not doing what he wanted, but the crowd sure liked his performance. Now what will be the fall out (if any) if we find out John McCain heard the questions while Obama was answering them? I sinerely hope it is not true because that was the best issues format I have ever seen in a campaign. Well that is if they did not let one of the partciipants wander the area when he was supposed to be sequestered somewhere.

I wanted to say I agree with Elliott. Though I was never a Get Smart fan! Man From Uncle (oh Ilya, my love, lol) was more my cup of tea, and Mission Impossible. LOVED that show. I did think McCain did better than Obama. I thought the cone of silence story was a lame attempt by the media to excuse the fact that Obama did not do as well as McCain. And I think someone who spent five years in a prison of war camp and who was horribly tortured is doing quite well for his age. Obama to me is a disappointment. And both men have a propensity to change their positions.
Draft Hillary at the convention!
Other than that (my typing load is unbearable of late), I wanted to let you know Morris is doing fine. He spent another four weeks off on his own, and came back looking better than ever. Someone has to be looking out for him when he is not sleeping on his big pillow on my porch! He just had left-over pot roast last night.
Well, I just wanted to pop in and answer your question from above. I find fictional television much more enjoyable these days than this election crapola. I even erased MSNBC from my favorites list.

It's Cone of Silence. You must not have been a Get Smart fan. :)
I think it's a non-story. The media is really desperate at times for something to report. Even if he'd heard some of the questions, how would that be all that helpful in making up quick answers? There was only an hour or less of questions for Obama. From what I've read, both Obama and McCain knew the general topics that would be discussed.
I watched the whole thing. I thought Obama did fine (talk about stammering and crap though... um, ah, eh). McCain did better in my opinion. Definitely more authority in his answers. But I wanted to scream every time he said "my friends." Wow, he said that like two dozen times.
