I guess I will go first with this week's episode.  Not my favorite.  I so wanted Don to take Peggy with him to CA instead of Pete.

Joan getting to tell Paul in front of everyone that he was not going was priceless.  I kept waiting for the scene at the end of Paul and Shelia on the bus and something happening.   I guess it will come next week.  I sure Paul is going to end up with some physical pain of some sorts.

Every week I try to find the theme of the show.  The show title "The Inheritance" is not about the money - or lack of - or the material things - green ceramic thingy - passed down from parent to child.  Instead it is all about the disfunction and mental illness being passed on.

Love Peggy sitting back and watching Don inviscerate Pete and Paul. Payback to Pete for their last confrontation. And it was rather sweet. I was so hoping that Don was going to take Peggy over Pete, but I think back then that would have been rather too forward.

What's odd is that I'm still not completely sure that Don truly loves Betty. I think he cares about her and actually is coming to like her, but love I'm just not sure about. One moment I actually think we witness that revelation and then the next minute, not only is it gone, but it then looks like that moment never existed. I can't tell you, seeing show after show after show wallow in the girl and guy must get together story arc, how refreshing this whole idea is.

The Glen/Betty thing was right at the edge of too-weird for me. Not so weird that he'd have a crush on her and find her sympathetic in the face of his own unhappy life, but how she let him sit so close and hold her hand after the way he was leering at her. That had a certain ick factor for me, unless we are to believe Betty is even more, um, troubled than we've seen so far...which is certainly plausible!

I gotta defend Paul a little here. Yeah he's a poseur. But at least he's there, on that bus, and at least he'll be doing his part to protest. After he was removed from the Cali trip, he didn't need to join Sheila, so even if he's just motivated by a desire to impress his girlfriend at least he came though.
