Additional Comments:

Just wondering if anyone watches and caught the reunion episode this past Wednesday and what your opinions might be about it.

I enjoyed seeing most of the chefs, especially Dale and Carla and I have to admit I actually liked seeing Stefan, too. But I didn't really enjoy all the bad feelings particularly coming from Marcel who I've always defended for being misunderstood and socially challanged.

But he literally ruined the episode for me with his humongous chip on his shoulder and obviously previously bottled up resentment of what happened in season two.

Fabio really has a hot temper, too.

I enjoyed also seeing Richard Blaise very much.

Ilan seems to have grown up. Casey is just Casey and although I could have hit her last year for giving Carla such bad advice, it wasn't really her fault. Carla should have been more sure of what she was going to cook.

Marcel is a Jerk plain and simple.

I love Fabio I think that Man is so Hot. I wish the Bravo would give him his own show like they did Tabitha from Shear design.

I love Carla I think she is such a Hoot! or should I say HOOTIE WHO!!

I have never understood the appeal of Harold I think he is just plain weird.

  • Hootie! .... Hoo! She's a throw back from the sixties and I love her. Fabio is kind of fab looking but I detect a mean streak. Hope I'm wrong. Helena
  • I believe Bravo is giving Fabio his own show. Not sure what it will be about, besides I am assuming food. eom Mimi

I enjoyed the reunion and really only have 1 comment to make.

Marcel was a jerk during his season, he continues to be a jerk and will always be a jerk.  If aliens ever land on earth, I hope someone gives them Marcel to take away to their planet for a specimen.  He is a worthless waste of oxygen.

And yes, I hope the producers of Top Chef get a clue and never ask him back for anything. Ever.

    Mimi,

Everyone loves Harold, I guess, but I've never had the chance to see why. I really need to watch the whole season sometime.

Richard is top notch and Dale is one of my favorite personalities. Tiffani seems like a bitch especially after calling Dale's dish a train wreck. I do love Carla because she's sincere and she prepared some interesing dishes.

I was a Casey hater until this dinner party when I decided not to hater her anymore. Now that you're telling me she negatively blogged about Carla I hate her all over again.

I agree about season two and thought the finalists were like children including the French brat who shaved her head. I hated that Ilan won and that's sad because the alternative wasn't so great either, but I was rooting for Marcel. And ha ha, Ilan about your stupidly named restaurant.

UGH! Hosea is the worst weinner ever! EVER. And I hate that bitch he flirted with the whole show. Stefan should have won, I guess, and I actually like the guy now. Remember he comforted Carla when she was crying?

I guess you're right about Fabio, but I've seen his temper flair up a few to many times to think he is the nice guy he portrays himself to be. I just don't trust him. I feel like we'll be hearing about him in the news someday regarding his temper. Like Christian Bale.

Brian's the guy who cries? He seems sweet.

Ilan and Hosea are the worst winners for sure, with Hosea in the lead most undeserved of all.

But let's not forget Hung, a very memorable winner. He was a brat but he was entertaining and now he's grown up a bit and more humble. Good for him.

  • Season 1 is my favorite. I think the two that were in the final were the most talented ones there, which is not always the case now where they play up the drama angle. Leanne probably should have been in the top three, but cannot fault Dave for ending up there. Anyway, I love Harold, because he stayed away from all the drama during his season and cooked some great food, and threw himself under the bus a couple of times, when no one from his team would step up. Anyway love him and his restaurant Perilla. eom Mimi
  • Oops, more to add. I think that Tiffani, Hung, and even Lisa (still do not like her), all said something about how they saw themselves on television and changed after that. I think you could see that. Now if Ilan and Marcel could do the same. eom Mimi
  • Right. That's why I like Hung now even more. He grew up and admitted that he needed to. I didn't mind Lisa too, too much but that face she used to make. Soooo glad she saw it and realized she needed to stop making it. Marcel shouldn't even be invited anymore to any of the events with his attitude. Ilan played it low key as he should. Casey was only invited so Fabio could bring up what she did to Carla. The show was certainly meant to be confrontational. And it was. Yes, I've read that about Harold, that he never got into the dirt and that's why I like Carla and Richard, too, and Dale. They remained pleasant througout. Helena

Harold! Squee!! Harold is my favorite contestant ever! Love him! Love Perilla! His reaction to the knife block was classic!

I was happy to see Harold, Stefan, Richard, and Dale again. The rest I could care less about.

Harold and Tiffani, who I like now after her season, because she lightened up after she saw herself onscreen, seem so much more mature then the rest.

I still think Carla is overrated and do not get the Carla love at all. I cannot stand Lisa. Stefan cracks me up, and I still think he should have won over the hack Hosea. He may be arrogant, but he is still lovable.

Blais! Oh my god, when he was going off about his speculation during his season I was about to fall over laughing. "Is that bacon? I think I smell bacon? Was that french? I think we're cooking French food. I just heard something. Sounded like an accent. I think it's French." Hee!

Casey, the reason you got sucked into Carla's loss drama is because of the nasty things you wrote about her afterward. Don't act so innocent. Carla is one class act to forgive her for that.

If I never have to see any of the season 2 cast again, it will not be soon enough. I hate both Marcel and Ilan. Worst winner ever (besides Hosea), Ilan opened up a joint that he described as (I kid you not) "jewish food date-raped by bacon." It was open for two whole weeks before the Department of Health and Public Safety shut it down.

I do not want to ever see Marcel again. Ever. I don't care if I was stranded in the desert and he was holding a glass of ice water. The take away from Marcel and Ilan is that neither of them has matured much since S2. While Marcel by no means deserved to be assaulted and absolutely did nothing wrong in his altercation with Cliff, he could demonstrate some self-awareness about that situation. I can sympathize with being tired of discussing that incident, but he hasn't shown has grown as a person. Same with Ilan. However, I don't think Ilan could do anything short of curing cancer for me to think he's a worthwhile human being.

I agree with Fabio, if these people do not want to answer the questions, which they had to know would be brought up, then don't show up. That simple.

Also, I want to see Harold and Brian V cook together. It would either be the most boring hour of television ever, or the funniest, its a toss up, but I want to see them try. It should be called the Harold and Brian V comedy cooking hour. It's so dry, you'll crack.

Just want to leave with this, as if it has not been said enough:
I still hate Ilan (and Hosea, but he was not there). Worst winner(s) ever.
I still love Harold. Best winner ever.
