Just read that Kim Kardashian was approached. No word whether she said yes or no BUTT (snicker) it's a possibility.

I read that they asked Rev. Al Sharpton (seriously!), but he declined naturally.

I heard who isn't going to be on: Kathy Griffin declined, as an offer was apparently made to her, and I also heard that Dan Quayle declined as well.

There are rumors galore. Some say same sex partners (with Lance Bass) others state Florence Henderson (which might be true since she's been seen in the audience). Yet another said battling exes. I don't see the exes thing as being real since one would assume at least one would have to be a pro dancer.

The latest I heard was Dan Quayle was asked then there were a slew of songs mentioned that he might dance to - all having the word POTATO in them.

  • That rumor went pretty far, and I heard on this afternoon's news shows that either Quayle had declined or the White House had on his behalf, due to the *presidential decorum* thing. I guess that follows them the rest of their lives - seems like eons ago that he was V.P.! -SpellingAddict
  • The White House wouldn't have any say in whether or not Quayle would participate. He was a buffoon as VP anyway. Now he is a private person, free to make whatever choices he wants to. eom
  • So you're saying I'm wrong? Rosebud, I wish you would refrain from always having to correct people here and stating your opinions as fact, when you may not be right and are just offering another opinion; it's EXTREMELY annoying and comes off as very holier-than-thou. I think my source for this information was reliable, and I know that ex-presidents/V.P.s get Secret Service protection for life; why is it so hard to believe they also have standards of conduct to maintain? No need to respond, unless you have some connection to the Executive Branch we don't know about. Please just think about this before you make another of your Grand Pronouncements. -SpellingAddict
