Additional Comments: I just watched Big Brother, and I want to slap Jerry. LOL. He was the one whining the first week about how he wasn't wearing anything military when he went back on his word, but tonight he was all over Dan. Grow up!

Question:  So Dan has to keep the America's Player thing secret FOREVER?  I was hoping he could reveal it after that week was over.  Boy it would sure get him out of a lot of trouble.  Though a few people are theorizing about it being true, anyway ...

  • I don't know if he HAS to, but I doubt it would help him if the others knew he won a bunch of money. I just think it's funny that the houseguests figured it out. I really wish BB would stop all that stuff and just let them play the game...Blinkie
  • I guess you're right. It's just funny we haven't heard him contemplating whether or not to tell. But you're right, he might be paying a big price for that $20,000 if he did, and it may cost him the chance to get $50,000 or $500,000 more. -Spell

I tried really hard to like Jerry.  But his kissing up to whoever has the power in the house is nauseating.   He went back on his word in the first episode - because, according to him "they made me."   Who made you Jerry?   Geez, Dan stuck to his word to Brian and voted for him to stay.

Dan had no choice on who to vote for last week.  But, Dan - why did you promise both sides?   Why didn't you say that you liked them both and hadn't made up your mind?   No one would have known who you were going to vote for.  In the end, I believe Dan kept the guy he wanted in the game and he lucked out as America's Player.   I like Dan.   I am glad he will leave at least with 20 thou in his pocket, plus what he makes in the jury room.   But I am afraid Dan is not long for this game.

I really like Libra.  I am a bit perplexed at Ollie's dissing of her, something his does constantly to please Ape-ril.  Who I cannot stand!    I am afraid that Libra will be leaving this week and the house will lose an intelligent player.

I loved Angie and Brian.  I did not care for Jessie, though I did feel for him being blindsided.   If only he had kept quiet about his muscles and his wish to inspire others to be fit and fabulous.  Oh Jessie - you brought comic gold to the game and you WERE more interesting than Memphis, but unfortunately you had to annoy me for much of the preceding weeks.  I felt REALLY bad for him when Julie told him America had voted him out.  I could see the pain in his eyes.  Oh well - this game can be cruel.

I am really enjoying this season.  If I had the "power", I would evict Jerry, April and Ollie.  I would keep Dan.   I started off really disliking Dan, but now I love the guy.

    Go figure!

  • Well, I'm of the thinking that Dan would have voted to get rid of Jesse anyway. He nodded and said ''ok, Jerry'' but he didn't swear or anything. But he DID promise the others to get rid of Jesse...Dan could argue too that he was forced to by the POWER that week. Since Aperil was HOH, and couldn't play for HOH again, his odds were better going with Keesha, Renny, Libra AND Memphis (and Michelle, even though she was mad at him, she was in an alliance with Memphis). .... oh one more thing about Jesse.. He still doesn't understand that AMERICA voted him out. He still blames it on just DAN. No matter how everyone tried to convince him that America's vote was just ONE vote, he blames Dan for the other 3 as well. /Gma b@s
  • You do have a point there! I know he wanted Jessie gone and thanked America for their choice. My fingers are crossed that either he or Memphis will win HOH week, and none of the unholy trio, Ollie, Jerry and April. Elaine/eom

I agree with you and Fuzzwuzz.  Jerry is an embarrassment!  It's bad enough when young people act that way, but for a 75 year old ex-Marine, it is just downright humiliating.  He sounds like a stupid little 2 year old when he hurls his insults.  And yes, it was very hypocritical of him to say what he did about Dan after the fiasco with him taking off his Marine cap.

I was saying the same thing to my husband about Jerry being sans Military 'stuff' the day he put Brian up.  But, the dude doesn't even seem to realize what Dan did was exactly the same, and he is complaining about it.

Oh he took off his cross, blah blah blah.  STFU Jerry.  You big hypocritical baby!

  • I thought it was totally uncool of Jerry to be dissing Dan's religious beliefs. Why did Ollie just sit there and let Jerry diss Dan like that when he is a preacher's son? I'm beginning to wonder what Ollie's purpose is on the show if not to kiss Ape's Hoo-hah! //RAS

I just wish Michelle would shut the heck up about Libra being a bad mother.  THAT is going to far IMHO.  She didn't take a letter from her kids...like mentioned below...I didn't realize that 5 month olds could write letters.  And besides, whats the letter going to say...kids are fine, drinking their formula and sleeping everyday?  Libra knows that her kids are being well taken care of by their father and that if anything were to go wrong on the outside, that she would be told.  She took the trip...good for her.  As a new mother myself I'd kill to get a vacation away for just a couple of days...me and the hubby could sure use some alone time for our relationship.  Michelle is just pissed that she didn't win the trip and is putting Libra down for it.  Poor sport all round.

LOVED it when Janelle said Jessie wasn't all that great looking....still love ya Janelle!!!

    Replies: (list all replies)

  • I don't 'dislike' Michelle, but she did need to stop about the letter. She probably wouldn't be saying that if Libra had taken the trip from someone else. She was really freaked out about losing that trip. But I asked my husband, which he would prefer I do, if I had been in Libra's position... A LETTER FROM HIM about our chidren? or A HAWAIIAN HOLIDAY. He said he would be pissed if I DIDN'T take the holiday. And I imagine Libra's hubby was the same. Her kids are too young to write a letter anyway. Shush Michelle!!!! eom/ Soapness

  • Hey, Elliot, I missed the show for the same reason. Just thought I'd let you know you can watch it at CBS.com... I wanted to see the food comp with the old players and because of the off timing, I missed that part. I also watched Housecalls with Gretchen, Evel Dick, and Jessie... and I gotta say, Jessie is so CLUELESS. He kept saying ''you gotta give respect to get respect'', yet he just never GOT what he was saying,,, he was expecting to GET respect before he GAVE it. ahhh well, I have a theory about the age of 22 and he fits it. /gma b@s

I'm really liking this season.  I think it's better because they have such a diverse group of people.  I think it's good that they have OLDER people.

Everyone expected Jerry to be everyone's grandpa or fit everyone's impression of a kindly old soul that would be easy to manipulate and probably get voted out first week.  We don't have to like him, but he's showing that you CAN put some older people in the game and they can actually PLAY... I think it's funny though how HE could go back on his word because of pressure from the house but let Dan go against HIM, well, that's just unforgivable.  But then, it must be hard for someone to be old enough to most everyone's grandpa and try to fit in.  Heck, he's old enough to be Renny's dad.

I started out not liking Renny but she is quickly becoming one of my favorites.  She gets along with just about everyone ONE ON ONE...  sure, she can be crazy and annoying sometimes but she DOES apologize (Yes, Jessie, she DID apologize!)

I like Keesha.  I like Dan.

I even kinda like Libra.  I don't think she's a bad mother for leaving her kids.  or for taking the trip over the letter from home... she knows they are well taken care of and what's a letter from 5mo olds?   Yeah, she's a little mouthy but usually it's in defense of herself.

Ollie..... just what HAS Ollie done in the house?  Really?  except provide Porn for the nighttime feeds, what HAS he done?

April needs to go... Her best play in the game was letting everyone feel her boobs.  Now she's got TWO boobs stuck so far up her...whatever... (Jerry and Ollie).

I like Michelle but she is a little too emotional about the game.

    I like Memphis.

What I'd really LIKE to see (but it ain't gonna happen) is for April to go instead of Libra.  That would make Ollie start playing the game.  Jerry would gravitate to one of the other girls and might even be more likeable.

  • You know what? I did not like Renny AT ALL the first couple of shows, now I really like her. She is pretty cool. I loved it the night she yelled at Jerry that he was inappropriate for yelling all the time. And then quickly exited out the door. Love her!! And why DOES everyone want Memphis out? Because he won the car the first night? So friggen what!! They need to forget the car and concentrate on the game play. Ollie, I like, but he has his head so far up April's VJJ, he can't see daylight. Jerry, I feel bad saying it because he is a Senior Citizen, but he is on my last nerve! eom/ Soapness
  • Memphis is sneaky and playing a lot of sides, would be smart to get him out. As for Jerry I dont like him much but I really dont see how he went back on his word to Brian, when he made an alliance with Brian he didnt know he was going around the house making alliances with EVERYBODY. IMO Brian is the one who betrayed Jerry. If I were Jerry I would have still wore my Military clothing, but yeah he needs to get over Dan
  • Agree with your post Gran! Jerry is a hypocrite and Puss! I love Renny-at first I wasn't sure but now I'm behind her. Ape-ril (love that spelling btw!) can go along with her @$$ kissing bf, Ollie, who's a lazy turd! I like Memphis and Dan. Keesha is alright. Michelle can leave so she can worship Jessie some more in the sequestor house. I'm on the fence with Libra but we'll see. I have a feeling she might be gone soon. //RAS

I like Jerry a lot. I think he's having an especially tough time because of his age and not fitting in with the much younger players, which must be hard for him. Also, yes, his values seem somewhat different from those of the others. I see that with my grandparents and I get where Jerry's coming from. He felt that Brian betrayed him by going behind his back, whereas Dan didn't get betrayed by Jessie plus deliberately lied about how he was going to vote. I see Dan's actions as being part of the game; Jerry doesn't. Different ways of looking at things. I'd love to see Jerry win. Or Renny, who's grown on me. favorite: Memphis (hate him!).

  • The longer he stays, the bigger fool Jerry makes of himself. What an idiot. I can't wait to see the jerk leave. He's less mature thant most of the houseguests. I do like Renny though. Personally I hope she or Memphis win.

I thought I would like Jerry at first but he is such a follower. He is mad because he feels like they were betrayed and the others lied but he did the same thing the very first week. He promised that one guy (his names escapes me) that he wouldn't vote him out because he was in the military. And yes he said he wouldn't wear his military gear while he lied. So what's the difference with Dan and the cross. When Jerry talked to Dan that night about the plan to get rid of Memphis all Dan did was nod. He didn't promise or swear anything to him. People have a right to vote for who they want. I have never seen a season where people feel like they have to vote for who the head of household wants. And this Michele person has to go. Who does she think she is? I wanted to slap her off my tv that night she won HOH and she was getting up in the camera and screaming in her obnoxious voice that "this one's for you Jesse". Yuck!!!!! Why don't these people see that they need to separate Ollie and April. They aren't going to turn on each other while they are having sex together so they are the biggest threat in the house.

    Replies: (list all replies)

  • I can't stand Michele... the week she didn't use the POV was the start of this downhill aliance... I was so glad Keesha was able to get the vote out Jessie, and yes, you are right, April and Ollie need to be broken up... why April gets to stay... grrrrrrrrrrr I can't stand her. - kris
  • I cant STAND April and Ollie and there are people after them. Just hope the right people get HOH this week ie anyone but Jerry, April or Ollie. The odds are against AOJ So I hope it happens!!
  • Jerry doesn't realize that everyone lies, betrays and cheats in this game....it is a game and you can't get personal and expect to win. //RAS

Jerry is a total jerk. I really wanted to like him but he is making it impossible to do that. I am really loving Dan as Americas player. I like Memphis as well. He is acting more grown up then anyone else in the house. I really want to see April and Jerry gone so bad. I like Renney but I do not like how childish she acts sometimes. I was really tickled to see one of my all time favorite players AMY back. I loved the look on April's face when she saw Ollie stand up when they showed Janelle. I can't for the life of me understand why Memphis is disliked so much in the house. I would love to see him and Dan give Jerry an "attitude adjustment". I know we are supposed to respect our elders but Jerry is a disgrace to all senior citizens. He is acting like he is five years old.

I want to see Memphis or Dan win .

  • I agree w/ all of your likes and dislikes... and I also especially loved the look on April's face when Ollie picked Janelle. I want April gone so bad... even more so than Libra. I really like Dan... do you know, does he stay A.P. thru th rest of the game now? Jerry is so annoying and I also wanted to like him, but forget it. - kris
  • In also like Dan. I believe that he was chosen America's player for one week only. Dot
  • There may be stuff going on with Memphis that I don't know about, but they keep saying he has a target on his back because he won the car the first week. I thought Michelle was in an aliance with Jesse and Memphis, so I don't understand what her problem is. One of them was obviously going to go...Blinkie

Jerry's a mystery, isn't he?  Unfortunately I think that he, along with many of the other contestants this year, just live to fight.  So many are expert yellers & arguers, aren't they?  I had to laugh when they showed Dan  and Memphis lying in bed in the other room as people in the kitchen went at each other.  Makes you wonder what they're like at home, doesn't it??  Thank God we don't have to live with them!

I wanted to say before that I am SO GLAD to see Jessie booted out of that house.  What a lifeless, useless, immature kid!  Just taking up space in the house.  Why it is Michelle feels such loyalty to him I don't know; doesn't say much for her character.

I LOVED the food competition, with all the former contestants!  Too bad the houseguests blew it so bad; geez, only 2 nights out of the next 7 without slop??  Yikes.  Now I couldn't believe that Chicken George was from Season 1.  Is that right??  I was sure he came along later.  But then, my memory's gotten pretty unreliable lately.

Good show.  Good season!  As immature as many of them are, they sure beats the last group.

    Replies: (list all replies)

  • You're probabaly remembering him from Allstars. Season 1 was the only time AMERICA voted to eliminate houseguests so it wasn't so cut throat. I think they should go back to that a LITTLE... GIVE us a vote (and I'm not talking Americas Player either). /gma b@s
  • Yep, he was on Season 1 and he's the only one we ever see from that season. I really thought Britney would end up doing something...Blinkie
