I tuned in today to the new Let's Make a Deal with Wayne Brady. I loved Wayne Brady on Who's Line is it Anyway. I still watch the reruns at night. I wanted to like the new show but I found it kinda dull. He just didn't seem to be that into it.
I watch The Price is Right even though I think Drew Cary was the wrong choice for hosting. He has no respect for the contestants. Some of these people come on the show who have been watching it for 40 years and he treats them like they are stupid for doing that.
Does anyone else watch daytime game shows?

Okay, well, I won't watch LMAD because of GL (oh, and to be totally honest, cause I'm just not interested!!)
I used to like Wayne a lot until I saw him in an interview when he said how honored he was to be asked to play this awful nasty mouthed character in some movie and it turned me off.
That whole $40 and costume thing is really cheesy. Pay to play, huh?
As to TPIR, I hated it and Bob Barker with a passion. (Apologies to lots of you because I know he was very popular.) When I heard Drew was taking over, I decided to give it a chance. I had it on one day but couldn't make it through five minutes. Not even Drew has enough charisma to make it interesting for me.
As to daytime game shows, I used to watch Family Fued but don't think I've seen it in a year or so-not sure if it is still on. I didn't like it when the guy from Home Improvement was the host. I loved The Weakest Link, although the guy host was nothing compared to Ann Robinson. I grew to like Millionaire (never got into it when it was on at night. Generally, though, I only watch infrequently, not on a regular basis.
i think wayne brady would have been PERFECT for the price is right. he has the energy and enthuseasm (sp?) to run the show. i could see him jumping up and won for the contestants.
as for LMAD...i watched about 5 min of it. he looked like he was having fun but it was towards the end.
love wayne!
I watched the new LMAD once. And that was enough. It made me wonder how I used to watch the original! There was at least one chain of deals that just wouldn't quit, and then the big deal was just for one couple to choose a door. Yawn. Our local channel dumped it and put Ellen's talk show on in that time period. I'm not a big talk show person, but it's a step up for sure.
As for Drew Carey on TPIR. Well, he does well enough, I suppose, but, yeah, I sort of agree that comes across as thinking he's above it all.
I was in Las Vegas the second week of September. While walking along the strip a man approached us about being on the new LMAD. He said if we just wanted to be in the audience to show up by 2:00. If we wanted to compete we had to PAY $40.00 for a costume and to be there by 1:30.
I tuned in once just to see. The costumes are all chincy(sp) and so fake looking - manufactured with the same cheap materials. Not that the orignal show's costumes were professional (lol) but at least they had character. Again I assume the audience made their own back then. Now that I know they don't, I have no interest and I'm a Wayne Brady fan, too.
