Additional Comments:

CBS has renewed "NCIS:Los Angeles" and "The Good Wife" for full seasons.

ABC has renewed "Modern Family", "The Middle" and "Cougar Town" for full seasons.

HBO has ordered a second season of "Bored to Death" (though I have no idea why)

NBC, however, has cancelled "Southland"

I heard a blurb on the radio that Southland may be picked up by TNT. I watched it but could take it or leave it!

I wish Leno would be cancelled so L&O would be back in it's old time slot!

Very interesting.  I'm amazed at "The Good Wife's" popularity, being what I think is just a retread of other legal dramas we've seen a million times before.  But I really like Julianna Margulies, so I'm happy for her.

So all those comedies on Wednesday night were picked up except their lead-in, "Hank" with Kelsey Grammer?  I wonder why.  I think the whole lineup is pretty good, and I'm pretty picky about my comedies.  I'm so amazed at ABC keeping me tuned in on a third night of the week (in addition to Thursdays and Sundays).  What can't they do??  (Maybe a Kelsey Grammer comedy, huh?)

  • Hank is the lowest rated of the Wednesday shows, and seems to be regarded as the worst by critics, as well. eom/lisa3
  • I wish they could find a story that really worked for him. *Cheers* and *Frasier* were perfect formats for him, and a third one is just being elusive. He delivers great one-liners, and still seems to have what it takes. For myself, I think this one is as good as *The Middle* with Patricia Heaton, and is MILES better than the one they did together which didn't work at all (too many people & situations, I think). -Spell
