I'm really finding this hard to believe. No more ABC shows at 10 p.m. weeknights?? It's revolutionary!
No more "Law and Order"?? What other shows will get canned (or, if they're lucky, moved to the 9:00 hour) because of this?

It's cheaper to produce the Tonight Show at 10:00 than to produce the drama shows. Same with reality shows. NBC made a huge deal with Conan, but now they've undercut him with this slick deal to have Jay at !0:00. What a slap. It's so David Letterman what they've done. If you're going, Jay, just go.
I watch him seldom anyway. I like Chelsea Lately better. Now, William Shatner has a new talk show that should be interesting. No talking about the new movie, book, et cetera, real conversation will occur.
I DO think that NBC is going to come to regret this 'idea', even if Jay is successful. Both Jay & the network should have thought about him signing off from The Tonight Show long before this. Regets are regrets. Personally, I hope it doesn't work &/or that TPTB (Corp) find it to be less profitable than they seem to think it will be.
I don't know if Chuck will survive. Let's just say yes, so NBC Monday could be Chuck-Heroes-Leno. Tuesday, do they want to run Biggest Loser for two hours? Waste of airtime if you ask me, but whatever. Wed., maybe plug in Deal or No Deal, then (because I don't think Life will make it) Law & Order. Thurs., four comedies (Earl, Office, 30 Rock, a replacement for Kath & Kim. Friday, disaster area, I have no idea. Sat., reruns. Sunday is football. Once the season ends, slot in new shows. Law & Order: SVU and Medium would be among the midseason replacements, maybe (but probably not) Friday Night Lights if it manages decent numbers when it returns this season. NBC could also hold a couple more established series for a while to give new shows a chance in the fall.
Or they could scrap the "Leno five nights a week" idea before it even begins. Ha, if his show bombs, NBC will be in worse shape than it is now!
