I guess I always remembered this particular show because I am such a skeptic.

Years ago I saw a rather amazing prediction although I had no way of knowing it at the time.  Joey Bishop had a talk show (late 60's) and he had a young man as his sidekick.  One night, a  well known psychic, I believe Jeane Dixon, was a guest.  At one point she told the sidekick, he would be so famous, he would be household name. Everyone including the sidekick laughed.  The sidekick looked at her and humorously blurted out, WHEN?!   After the laughter died down, she said,''In about 20 years''.  Now the whole audience was really laughing hard.  The sidekick's name?    Regis Philbin

That sure didn't seem accurate, did it?I remember one night in 1969 when Regis Philbin walked out on the show, saying nobody really wanted him.No one went after him because no one was sure how long the show would last by that time.

Before the year 1969 was over,Joey Bishop was replaced by Dick Cavett, whose audience was very different from the kind who would see either Joey Bishop,Johnny Carson or Merv Griffin.(At that time, they all had late-night talk shows.)

Every year we would always take her predictions (they were usually printed at the end of the year in the newspaper) and pack them away with our Christmas decorations.  That way, when we unpacked the deco for the following year, we could see what materialized.  Usually, not much!

I don't remember this specific prediction but Jeanne Dixon used to put out predictions every year.  After she was on TV, I remember in the 70's and 80's every year the Enquirer or paper like that would have her yearly predictions at the beginning of the new year.  I wondered whatever happened to her....probably gone by now?  But I figure...at some point she must have hit alot of things correct to have become so famous.
