Bachelor Matt Grant & Fiancée Shayne Lamas Call It Quits Thursday July 24, 2008
The Bachelor: London Calling's Matt Grant has split from fiancée Shayne Dahl Lamas.
"We tried hard to make it work but we realized that we were both heading in different directions," they said in a statement Thursday. "We truly care about each other and will remain close friends."
Engaged since the May 12 finale of the reality show, the pair have fought off breakup rumors since June when Grant, a global financier, moved out of the actress' L.A. pad.
"I never really moved in there," he tells Us Weekly in its latest issue, on newsstands now.

Message: Surprise! Surprise! Given her family history, particularly her immediate family history, a breakup was a sure thing--whether or not marriage ever happened. Her father has been 'engaged' countless times & divorced A LOT. One of those exes even said in an interview (yrs ago), that his mother told her NOT to marry Lorenzo because he wasn't the marrying kind & it would end badly. She was right.
puh - lease.... didn't all of us regular watchers know that would NEVER last... he probably chose her for some 'stardom', celeb attention ... or an easy break up. c'mon. Why do these guys do it?

Message: I never watched this season. When I saw them together when DeAnna & Jesse were reunited after the rose ceramony..I thought they looked like a cute couple. I wish them the best.
