Additional Comments: A lot of shows make it onto the TVland cnannel, but I discovered one at the library that I haven't seen in ages--literally. I am watching the very first season of Route 66. Travelling along the mother road with Buzz (hunky George Maharis) and Todd (boy-next-door Martin Milner)in their Corvette convertible as they go on the ultimate road trip. Both are now in their 70s--yipes!

Half the fun is seeing the guest stars in their earlier days--Lew Ares, Jack Carson, teenaged Patti McCormick and '20ish young' Suzanne Pleshette and Tyne Daly.

I also enjoyed Dr. Who (the one with the rainbow scarf, I Love Lucy and the Loretta Young Show.

Let's not forget The Honeymooners.

The Outer Limits

I don't remember the name of the show. It had a guy who had duck wallpaper and his girlfriend's name was Jackie Gleason. A very funny show.

Dr. Kildare....Richard Chamberlain...yummy

Shindig

For those who are old...American Bandstand

  • Dr. Kildare--oh, yes! And then there was that renegade Ben Casey. I could have become a hypochondriac very easily if I had a doctor that looked like either of them./U

Oh, my goodness., nostalgic TV shows...there's too many to list here so I'll highlight some of the shows that make me smile with memories...not only of the TV show but why I liked the show at the time.

Make Room for Daddy...I wanted to  break the TV screen so I could climb in and live with them. I was about 4 and was sure that would work.

Wagon Train...covered wagons always fascinated me...thought it would be interesting riding in one. And, my favorite episodes were ones that had Indians in them.

The Mickey Mouse Club...didn't everyone want to be one?

The Andy Griffith Show...pure nostalgia of small town America.

Leave It to Beaver...there was Wally!

The Donna Reed Show...I wanted to be Donna Stone when I grew up.

That Girl...another idol. Plus a guy I dated in high school looked a lot like Donald.

Designing Women...loved how Julia could put people in their place with such tact.

Golden Girls...when the show was first on I thought it was very funny. Now that I'm the age they were then, I think it's even funnier!

    and there's oodles more..............another time.
