Additional Comments: I just thought I'd stop by to let you know that I had an accident on my trike last month. I was in the hospital for 2 1/2 weeks, in Georgia.
We didn't make it to my fav ride of the year but at least it was not as bad as it could have been.
My right foot got chewed up and I may be out of work for the next 4-6 weeks. I lost bone, tissue and some nerves in my foot.
Please say a prayer for a good healing. My husband has been so great taking care of me
as of this minute, I am considering selling the trike..maybe I am just not meant to ride solo altrhough I have loved every minute of it...I just do not want to be selfish and not consider how this impacts everyone in my family. :(

Are you talking 'trike' as in motor cycle?? I say stay off it!! I no longer enjoy riding on the back of a bike. I like airbags and metal all around me!

Sugarbee, I'm sorry to hear of your accident. I hope you have a quick recovery. I think you're right when you say you may give up bike riding because of the impact on your family. Those bikes scare me so much! I know you love it so maybe you'll come up with a compromise. Feel better soon.

I'm so sorry you were injured. I am praying for a good recovery. I think most riders go down at least once in their time, but how badly you were injured and how you feel about biking determine whether you give it up and cut your loses or get back on and take your chances again. Whatever you decide about riding, good luck with your recovery.

What an ordeal! I am so happy you are back home and on the road to recovery. And glad to hear you are going to sell that trike! I saw the pic of your foot on FB but had to turn away very quickly. OWWWWW! My thumb looked like that once when I busted it open landing all my weight on it on a sidewalk. It healed up nicely. It also hurt like heck! (((((((((sugarbee)))))))))
