Additional Comments: I knew the days at Bargain Books were numbered as the lease in the mall is up the end of December and the book company is planning on pulling out of Illinois completely. (There is only one other Bargain Book Store in the state.) Last week I went on an interview at Border's and they said I would hear by the middle of this week.

Wednesday came and went--no call. Thursday came and went--no call. I got depressed. This morning the phone rang--I got it! I got it! I got the job at Border's! I am almost happy dancing on the ceiling.

    This is great news, Ulalume!  I'm so envious.  I've applied to B&N before and I didn't get picked.  It was a long time ago, but it was a fantasy of mine to work at a bookstore.  I'm so jealous!  I hope it's everything and more you want, because you deserve it!

  • I've also applied at B & N in the past and never got a response. For Border's I did the online application. Keep trying!/U

    Yippee!     How exciting!    My favorite book store by far.   I think working there would be the perfect job for anyone that loves books.     I guess we need some more pink elephants.  :-D   

    I wanted to go find some other dancing animal because I'm getting a bit tired of the elephant, but I can't open another window for some reason.   I'll always love the little feller, but just wanted something different today.   Oh well.   Maybe I'll come back and add one later.    :-)
