Topic: Wish Me Luck!

Additional Comments:

Tomorrow I'm participating in a Crafts Bazaar.  I'll be selling my photo note cards.  I haven't really had a lot of time to get prepared, but I hope to do well.  I made almost 100 cards with photos that I shot myself.  Most of them I have shared with you over the years.  Also, I'll be taking a large notebook of 8x10's, in case someone would like to order a print or cards.  I've done this once before, but it had a very limited attendance.

I have a 5'x2' table and I picked up some Christmas material tonight to use as a table cloth.  I made up some business cards and order forms and I think I'm all set.

Wish me luck!  I could use the money for Christmas.

I'm back!  I'm NOT rich.  Darn it.

The day was drenched with rain.  We didn't have nearly the crowd that everyone hoped for.  It was extremely disappointing.  In the last four years, I've never seen it rain so hard for so long.  Don't laugh.  It rains a lot here, but the norm is

drizzle

pepper

sprinkle

mist

you catch the drift.........

So, it was a lousy show and I made about $40 gross.  Not good, but not a total bust.  Many people were complimentary about my photos, but not enamoured enough to buy them.  I was proud of them, tho.

Thanks for all the great encouragement, it really helped when I read them early this morning.

Ah, another time, I hope.

Thanks, again.

  • Awe, well...at least you tried and it was an experience. I participated in a craft faire once and found most people are there to get ideas and not buy. / JoEllen

    Sure hope it went well.

I'm with Gail. I'd like to see what they look like. This is the third year that I'll be doing all my shopping online. They sound like the perfect gift.

  • Cool. Just to let you know, they aren't the typical note card set I'll work up something. eom/Jenny

Very many good luck thoughts heading to WA!    I know if people see your photos they will want them.    You do beautiful work.    Let us know how it goes.    Why don't you take a picture of one of your card packets and put it and the price on here.   Maybe some of us would like to get a pack.   :-)

  • Thanks, Gail. And thanks for the suggestion. I'll think about it. I'll see about putting something together. I have been selling them individually, not in sets. But it's doable. Thanks, again. eom/Jenny
