Additional Comments:

will you mute or change the channel if they show up on the screen?

For me, it's Jim Carrey. He thinks he is so funny. To me, he is loud and obnoxious.

Then there's the Octo-mom.

I'm sure I have more. Who are yours?

Thanks for your responses. Sorry I can't answer individually. For some reason my legs hurt so much today that I can't concentrate.

I have to admit that most of those mentioned irritate me, too. Never heard of Paula Deen. Mary, from SYTYCD has always bothered me until I heard her tell her story of 8 years in an abusive marriage. I won't watch her, but I do feel for her.

Meryl Streep?

  • It's just me Charlotte. I don't know what it is exactly but I just don't like Meryl Streep. I've never been able to put my finger on why. She just rubs me the wrong way. Always has. eom mags
  • You are not alone Mags. Hubby doesn't like her one bit and won't watch any of her movies. I'm borderline, I can take her or leave her. /JoEllen

Rush Limbaugh (sp)! I can't stand to even look at him.

Billy Mays! (sorry I know he's passed, but I hated his voice)

Kate OR Jon Gosslin. She treated him like dirt for ten years, and now he's making up for it in 10 weeks! He is starting to look just plain EVIL. I wish they would both disappear!!

    Donald Trump

    Kathy Griffin

    Rosie ODonnell

    Martha Stewart

Jim Carrey, I guess most of us don't care for him.

wow, I guess I have too much time on my hands today. Not working, just playing on the puter. I too, know there are more, but I need to stop now. LOL!

  • I agree re Rush Limbaugh! Yack! Gail
  • I forgot Martha! I can't get to the Mute or change channel button fast enought when she come on. eom mags
  • Oh and I forgot to say that I really knew nothing about Jon and Kate, Plus 8. I never watched it, never even heard of it until all you know what broke loose. From what I have seen on TV and read in magazines, I have to say I don't put all the blame on Jon. I don't condone his actions since the split but I think Kate played a huge part in driving him away. She seems so controlling. I can't stand her either. I think the breakup was definately the fault of both of him equally. eom mags

I shouldn't have read what the others put but a lot of their responses would be mine too.

Before today I was muting EVERY political ad that have been running for about 2 months - the same ones over and over and over.

I have stars that I avoid renting or going to see their movies.  Tom Cruise, Meryl Streep (I know - everyone else loves her), Jim Carrey ...   I know there are others but I can't think of them right now.  There are others that if an actor is in it I rent it without even reading what the movie is about.

TV people that I avoid - Oprah, Rosanne, Judge Judy (UGH!), sadly I add Willard Scott (I mute his 100 Birthday Greetings on the Today Show on Tuesdays and Thursday.  Time for him to retire - I still like him though).

I won't watch CSI:Miami, because of David Caruso.  Guy just bugs the heck outta me.

Will Ferrell.. UGH, he's so, so, so.........Jim Carrey!  They both want to be the nuJerry Lewis.  It ain't happening for me.  If I have to see commercials this holiday season for ELF, I'm gonna puke!  I hate that movie!

I'm sure there's more, but I avoid a lot of TV.

Joan Rivers, Donald Trump, Kate Gosselin, and David Letterman--He asks his guests a question and before they can finish answering he interrupts. It makes me nuts!

The one bugging me the most right now is Mary Murphy...SYTYCD judge. She is beyond annoying with her screaming. The irritating Mia leaves the show :) then Mary's screaming worsens. :(

I can't watch GMA anymore because I find Diane Sawyer extremely irritating. And, if Barbara Walters is present on the View...I'm out of there. Racheal Ray is another one who bugs me most of the time.

I agree about Jim Carey...I could throw my shoe at the TV if he's on the screen and I avoid his movies.

    I know there's more.................

Joan Rivers, Don Rickles (although he's old and not around much any more thankfully), and in the last couple of years Rosie O'Donnell.   I used to like her but she became very cranky.    And Kathy Lee Gifford.    Ick!    Also, I've never liked Katie Couric for some reason.   Too cheerleadery for me I think.    I can't imagine her being an anchor person.   I'm sure I'm missing someone.

Btw, I loved Jim Carrey when he was on In Living Color, so for the most part he doesn't bug me so much.   But I GET why he could bug ya.   He can be over the top.

Paula Deen. She's a pretty lady, but oh, that voice... if I see her on, I try to turn the channel before she opens her mouth.

    I just thought of another

I feel so sorry for kate Gosselin.

His mug - His voice - His eyes come on any screen and I have to move on.

What kind of guy cost his family that kind of financial stability so that he can get his way - especially so so many kids.
