Well, what can I say to spoil it? Most everyone knows most of the story, even if the ending is kinda...oops, almost gave it away!
Hillary Swank is awesome in this movie. I noticed she is Executive Producer on it, too. I do have a little critique about her mouth! I don't remember Hillary's real life mouth, but her teeth are just huge in this movie! But she's adorable and stylish and wears NO makeup. Richard Gere is just delightful. I liked it a lot.
Don't listen to the reviewers that say, "ooo, just skip it!" It's a good movie, even for the theater, in my opinion. However, if you wait to rent it or watch on demand, it will still be good. The scenery is awesome, tho, and I don't know how it will look on a medium-sized tv.
I'm a big sucker for beautiful scenery and beautiful pictures, I guess you guys know that.
I think even the guys would like it because there's a lot of avianoics in it and I feel pretty sure that all the technical stuff was accurate, history-wise, too.
We rarely go to the movies and there are two that I really want to see if they ever get them around here. I like Swank and Gere so I think I will put this on my Netflix list! Thanks for the review.
I'd planned on seeing it regardless of reviews. I like both Swank and Gere. That said Hillary has always had that huge smile, part of her uniqueness. Thanks for your take on it. I've always had interest in Amelia, too.
