Subject: While I didn't like Ben I do like Charlie, but I most confess to noticing a bit of a rough trade-ish element to both of Viki's recent romances and I wonder if that's the Nikki in her coming through. -- Rhonda eom

Subject: All I can say is, Thank God for Bonnie Hunt! Without her, B&B would have been around longer and we'd have been subjected to more humiliation of such a great actress. Again, IMO. AL

Subject: Rhonda, I don't think that's Niki peeking through. Clint was a Texas cowboy/editor when he first met Viki. In fact, Dorian used to refer to Clint as ''Viki's cowboy''. And Ben actually was a doctor. Soaps like to pair genteel women with not-so-genteel men. OLTL did it repeatedly with Marty, much to my dismay - first Suede {{shudder}} and then Dylan {{shudder}}. They finally realized their mistake and paired her with Patrick. Wanda

Subject: I don't think all Vicki's men were older than her. Joe wasn't old in relation to her and Clint wasn't either. Luna

Subject: I always thought Joe Riley was supposed to be the older guy, since Lee Patterson was 17 years older than Erika. It also seemd like Joe's relationship with Viki was both romantic and paternal, in a good way, of course, due to her constant conflicts with Victor. eom/Jenny

Subject: Joe Reilly was definatly a Daddy figure, and much older than Vikki.Probably why he died so ling ago. But I was sure she and Clint were around the same age when they met and married.(apparently they still are..duh.)so was Ben, and the guy from the Sci-Fi show (forgot characters name)so I kind of don't get that.L.A.

Subject: Dr. Davidson was always tough for me to swallow -- but as a bartender, he was perfectly believeable. To me the Blendie thing reeked of a bad Lifetime movie. Poor Marty was certainly afflicted (by the writers) with Lady Chatterly syndrome in those earlier pairings and the relationship with McBain was a step back to that model -- yuck! What was your take on Viki/Sloan? I wasn't watching then.

Subject: OMG! I thought Sloan was the worst of all of the husbands. Now he was much too old for her and I never believed that relationship.
