Subject: JvD did a fantastic job portraying how exhausted and sad Clint was, and it was an obvious creative device to show him coping all alone while the two people who should be supporting him now (his wife and brother) are all wrapped in each other, figuratively and literally. Bo seems very detached from his brother, like his only connection to Clint is as Nora's other man, which should be OOC for him. When was the last time he actually spoke with his brother without Nora around? And were they ever going to call and check in about Jessica and Natalie, Bo's supposed beloved nieces? I also caught Nora being unable to return Clint's ILY. She glanced at Bo before saying 'me too.' Did she feel like she would be cheating on Bo? They both claim to love Clint, would it have hurt her to actually say ILY after hearing the stress in his voice explaining Jared is dead? If Bo wasn't a factor, she supposedly would have been happy to stay married to Clint for the rest of her life, but now she's detached herself from him and they haven't even told him anything yet. She's still married to him (she keeps those rings on even while falling in bed with her husband's brother), so she should return the love and support that Clint has shown her and Bo. With the way Bora disregard Clint's feelings, I'm sort of looking forward to seeing him go 'slightly bonkers' as JvD said. eom

Subject: Great analysis of the whole Bo/Nora/Clint debacle. Not only is Bo being written as emotionally detached from his brother, that's the way RSW is playing him. However, as far as RSW is concerned, I imagine he may think Bo has to emotionally detach himself from Clint in order to make the moves on his brother's wife. If Bo thought of Clint as his brother and not just a rival, there is no way he would be trying to move in/on with Nora. Wanda

Subject: ITA about how Bo is regarding Clint. Back in London when Bo/Nora expressed their feelings for each other, Nora kept saying she loves Clint and doesn't want to hurt him and she's still married to him, etc. Bo replied that it's hard to remember Clint/Nora are actually married and that it's nothing personal between him and Clint. Bo would feel this way no matter who Nora was married to. So Bo has admitted that he's separated Clint his brother from Clint the rival, in his mind, but he's detached himself so much that he's forgetting Clint his brother. And, no matter how much Bo tries to separate the two, Clint his brother and Clint the rival are still the same person. There should be some great fallout for the brothers and hopefully Bo trying to repair things as time goes on, but with how easily Matthew is forgiving his parents, I wonder if RC is going to bother or just spin Clint off to Kim and send Bora in another direction. It would be a joke if Bo started feeling morally superior to Clint like he did with Asa. eom Emily
