Subject: I can forgive Destiny because she is a young teenage girl, just discovering love and friendship. She has an innocence about her that goes with her age. Shaun is another story. He is a grown man, we have never been given any indication that he has social issues up until Rachel showed up. Now he acts like a 17 year old boy who is going on his first date with the woman of his dreams. I just don't get it. I like him, but they need to write better for this character. OLTL finally has a Black American family on the show and they need to do more. Personally I would have preferred that they bring back the Gannon brothers, or bring them back and keep Destiny and her brothers. It would make the show more complex and interesting. izi

Subject: Shaun and Destiny are both aware that they have stronger feelings than the objects of their desires. Shaun said as much when he told Rachel he was going to sweep her off her feet. It was the whole point of his plan -- to encourange her to have more romantic feelings towards him. And I'm sure Destiny knows that Matthew sees her only as a friend. She's not happy about it (he took off with another girl), but she knows. I don't think either of them are missing any social cues. I think they just feel what they feel. Knowing someone doesn't love you doesn't automatically make you stop loving them. //SqueezeMe
