Subject: ITA. What I don't get is whether TStJ is being directed to portray Todd this way or is he bored and just doing whatever in the he!! he wants? Even at the times when you got a sense that RH was bored out of his mind with a storyline -- he'd do something interesting or just plain weird in a scene to keep you the viewer watching./KWF

Subject: I have no idea whose idea this is to have Todd be portrayed this way. RC has gotten every character right, except Todd. Maybe it's the actors that know who their character are that make it right along with the writing. Maybe RC's in the minority of OL viewers who always saw a coldhearted Todd or they're just allowing TSJ to play him this way..I don't know who or what the problem is but there is no way they can convince me that this guy is Todd..end of story...G

Subject: You hit the nail on the head Gemini. I know this guy's not a bad actor, but I have no idea why he's playing Todd with no emotion. When Todd found Marty last week, I expected some sort of emotional response, and there was nothing. Why would he be this way? To me this is the weakness in this storyline. (Edward)

Subject: You're right. I always enjoyed watching Todd, but he has just become one-note and boring. I used to care what happened to him, but just don't much anymore. I'm wondering if they are deliberately making the character this way because they want to kill him off for good down the line. At this point, the only people who really loved him and saw anything at all redeeming in him, Viki and Starr, seem to have totally given up on him. Viki went so far as to say she always thought there was good in hiim but she was wrong. He was just evil. Could be the character's days are numbered.

Subject: I remember the RH version and really haven't watched this actor much. But I recall a Todd that was so twisted, vengeful, remorseless--but yet had a twinge of conscience now and then, though rarely. But he was interesting. I hated him, he was a creep, but there was something... This guy does nothing for me. I think he took Marty away to keep her from John whom he hates, and I think he has an agenda, some way he intends to use her to get something he wants. Not sure how. He has to get her trust, but he isn't doing the friend thing. He is planning something that came to him when he saw her and recognized her. As for his acting--I've never seen much from him and I guess it is one way to interpret the empty person Todd is. I also think the new writer is taking Todd back to his psycho days--I mean, Todd was always a sicko. GHFan

Subject: Frankly, I have to wonder myself. I'm not going to say anything bad about TSJ because in any other role he might be wonderful and if they called this guy Walker instead of Todd, he'd be wonderful but IA he's not showing any emotion especially any emotion Todd would have knowing their history. I still believe that they can and most likely are going to go the imposter route.
