Subject: Somebody has to be in charge these days. Bo is a little pre occupied with the DA right now in London. If you think about it, John was an FBI agent at one time and he abviously played loose with the rules back then. My theory as to why he is given such authority and admiration in Llanview is that despite occasional appearances otherwise, the town is small, and a guy like John, who has no qualms about throwing his weight around, is looked upon as a big shot. If you think about it, the LPD has really never gotten much beyond Mayberry in size. I think it is rather comical that in recent years they seem to have aquired a police acadeny. Proudmary
