Subject: Acrually, it would be surprising if she didn't bring up Todd. He would be one very good reason for her and Michael not to take the baby. Imagine what Todd would put them all through if and when he learned they adopted Starr's baby! He was ready to kill to get Sam back, with no thought to the baby's well being. He already threatened their lives just that morning. No one would be safe if that maniac got wind they had his grandson, least of all the baby. Marcy wisely understood that. Still, I suspect somehow, the baby will wind up with them....??? GHFan

Subject: LJ, I understand you don't like Marcie and I can totally understand that. But please don't warp a scene to meet your opinion. Marcie wasn't manipulating Starr with the hope of getting her child while pleading that she never, never wanted him/her. That scene was written to improve Marcie's standing with viewers who haven't forgiven her for kidnapping Tommy. For most of us it worked. Wanda

Subject: As you know I disagree. From a literature standpoint: Using 'Marcie wisely understood..' in a sentence is a joke. The character doesn't have a brain and can never understand anything. Marcie has already written the script as to how she believes the world should be. Marcie is a one-dimensional flat charater, and just about every soap has one. Marcie will never be redeemed, because she doesn't have any human emotions. -lj

Subject: Oh, come on! Marcie doesn't have any human emotions? Then what does she have - dog emotions or worm emotions? I hate Antonio Vega with a white-hot passion, but even I realize he is capable of human emotion. As for Marcie being one-dimensional, I think RC is trying to undo a lot of damage done to the Marcie character by Higley. She's let go of her Tommy obsession. She realizes what a gem she has in Michael. ('Bout time!). IMO, any and every character is redeemable or they would never last long on a soap. It all depends on the viewer's level of forgiveness. Obviously, you aren't ready to forgive the character of Marcie and that's your perogative. Wanda
