Topic: About Natalie and Jared...

In my opinion, this is one of the most vomit-inducing relationships ever.  Every time Jared makes some remark about how hot he is for Natalie, I just feel like I need to scrub myself with a Brillo pad.  I don't know how some couples portray affection and others just exude sex, but this is the relationship that could destroy countless people, and I just don't see how it is worth it.

I won't go that far, because there have been times I really liked Natalie. The obsession that soap writers and (dare I say) fans have that doesn't allow for anyone to be unattached more than 5 seconds sometimes makes for strange bedfellows (pun intended). I have read a couple of places that RC loves this couple, so unless he reads this board and others like it, we may be stuck with them. eom/sea

I keep saying I want to be a Natalie/Jared fan because the actors have some chemistry.  But I'm slowly, but surely, slipping over into the vomit-inducing area.  I ff them most times because their scenes are so similar - I want you, you can't have me, guppy-kissing.  Blech!  I want a twist that will throw a monkey wrench into their hot monkey sex.  But even then I wonder if I would care.  I've said it before and I'll say it again - the actor playing Jared is just not selling the love and angst.  He looks the same no matter what he is saying to Natalie.  I want to see that he is as emotionally tortured by this as Natalie once was.  And I want Natalie to go back to being emotionally tortured by the lies she is perpetrating on her family.  I'm so tired of watching MA try to bring a spark to her romantic pairings.  She really works hard, but the actors she has been paired with have all be sparkless - DF, ME, and now this guy.  With ME it was the character of John.  And I wonder about DF, because he absolutely sparkles with the actress playing Sarah.  They are so much fun to watch.  But he's allowed to play humor with her.  When Cris was with Natalie it was all angst.  Why can't we have angst and humor?  MM did it with Tina when she thought she was sleeping with her brother (David).

I don't get it either, Wanda. There is no substance to this relationship at all, but now that you mention it, when has Natalie had anything meaningful? And I like Cris with Sarah and Jessica. eom/sea

She married Cris, so that was meaningful - but not a lot of fun. First there was the ''friendship'' that turned to love while Cris was involved with Jen. Then they married and not long after ME was brought on as John McBain and Cris was presumed killed. Why can't Natalie have a relationship that is fun? Why do TPTB constantly put her in situations full of angst, when it is obvious that she's not quite up to pulling it off - especially when her co-stars aren't? I actually like MA and Natalie. I just wish they'd stop writing her as some drama queen and write to her strengths. For years I said DF needed to be in a light-hearted romance because that was where he shined. RC must have heard me (yeah, right) because Cris is now in a fun-filled, light romance with Sarah and DF is shining. Wanda

I thought it was only me! I can't stand Jarod with his beady eyes. I too think he and Natalie are vomitworthy! I even missed watching Nigel just to fast forward over the two of them. They ruin it for me!

I can't stand them together either. However, Nigel was ruined for me when he agreed with Jared's plan. It wasn't his ''call''. Luna

You have a point, Luna. I used to really like Nigel, but he must have lost his senses to go along with this scheme! Also, as others have mentioned on this board, I don't know why Nigel believes Jarod is so much better than David. Like him or not, David is Asa's son, it was Asa's wish to give him an inheritance, and Nigel should have honored that. Again, you're right. Nigel took too much on himself. It wasn't his place. Asa trusted him and he betrayed him for that twit Jarod!

Sea, don't you know that David Vickers as a Buchanan is a fate worse than death? Jared is such a prince compared to David. I want to permanently shut up Nat, Jared and Nigel on that topic. ladfan

Jared and Natalie make me want to throw up every time they are in a scene together.  Then again, pretty much anything Jared is puke worthy to me.  I don't like the actor, his exagerrated hand movements and tics.  The character, pure sleaze.  Natalie is pathetic to pursue this with him.  Them making out in full view of anyone who might walk in, yuk.  I hope David harasses them good.
