If the baby survives, I do think Fish and Kyle should be the ones to raise it, but with liberal visitation rights for Aunt Gigi. If the baby doesn't survive, well it certainly would not be the first soap casualty to a storyline disaster! I see no reason to prolong this one or make a big fuss.

G clarified the spoiler and all I can say is Hooray!!!!!!  (If it's what we all think it is.)  Even without the clarification, I would have believed this because Stacy has been hardly on the past month or so.  I guess it took that long for TPTB to realize that CH's Stacy was a disaster.  And that's a pity in a way, because the concept of a troublesome vixen sister for Gigi is good.  It's just the execution that stank, and a lot of that had to do with CH.  It didn't help that in order to promote the obsessive bimbo that Gigi and Rex had to lose their brain cells and that Stacy had to have unbelievable dumb luck. 

It would make a great story that Stacy is brain dead and Gigi has to decide whether or not to end life support.  Although, I can't see Gigi ending the life of the fetus; she may hate the idea of the baby but the actual child inside Stacy would be another matter.  I can see Gigi and Rex deciding to not do the paternity test and to raise the child anyway.  Then a life-threatening situation occurs (they always do on soaps) and that's when they learn Rex isn't the father.  By this time Kyle will be doing his internship at Llanview Hospital and will know this is going on.  He'll tell Oliver, and Oliver will realize the child is his.  Then we have a custody battle because Gigi and Rex have grown to love the child.

Wanda Wolek, I like the way you think! If Stacy's dead, Gigi has no reason to want the baby gone, and she might even want to raise it because ''What would happen to Shane if I died?'' would have been her worst fear until Shane got sick. I can totally see her and Rex deciding against a paternity test as a gesture of commitment to the baby and each other. Kyle will probably find out before Oliver, but don't you suppose something will happen to make Kyle hide the truth from Oliver?

I hope that if Kyle finds out first that he doesn't keep it a secret from Oliver - unless there is a very good reason. Not wanting to raise a child is not a good enough reason, IMO. But if Oliver were shot in the line of duty and needed to recover and the baby would be an added stress, I could see Kyle keeping it quiet. Wanda

This would be the perfect opportunity for OLTL to do a story about end-of-life decisions. Imagine this: Stacy is declared brain-dead and put on life support. As her next-of-kin, Gigi has to decide whether to take her off life support or leave her on it until the baby is viable. This will add to the tension between her and Rex. Will Schuyler, Kyle and Oliver figure out the baby's paternity in time to appeal to Gigi before she (or Roxy - once bitten, twice shy!) pulls the plug?

They could release Crystal Hunt even earlier by taping footage of Stacy playing dead in advance.

Kim can disappear with no explanation, for all I care.
