Please! Not another prisoner story ala Passions-where a female is held prisoner in the basement someone else...but it looks like that's what's going to happen between Tess and Natalie.

Will this insane SL be avoided? Any spoilers?

Wasn't Tess going to keep both Nat and Jarred in the basement? Thought she wanted revenge on the two of them. If Jarred leaves for awhile, what will her plan for him be?

  • Sending him on a wild goose chase, searching for Natalie. She would love pushing his buttons along the way & watching Natalie wanting to step in and save Jared, or visa versa. eom

Long before OLTL had Dorian held captive by Vikki's alters, & long before JERk was a head writer (much less creating a soap like Passions) Y&R did it twice--once w/Victor keeping his wife's (Julia) lover in a basement cage & later when Brad's crazy ex-wife, Lisa, held him captive in a cage.

Long before JERk did it on Passions, Days did it during the Cruise of Deception, when Hope was held captive in a cage, over a vat of acid.

Most of the other storylines were FAR more entertaining & believeable (at least there was a willingness to suspend disbelief).

OLTL did it with Viki's alters & Dorian way before Passions was even conceived. It's the same "secret room" in the basement that Viki's alters used, what was it 95? Victor Lord had it built years ago.

Yeah, I never was a big fan of those "trapped" storylines.  The only one that I can think of that was somewhat enjoyable was on AMC, when crazy Janet had Natalie trapped in a well.   But that was only because Kate Collins (who played both roles) had so much talent.

I don't have any spoilers, but one of my all-time favorite storylines was when Dorian was imprisoned by all of Viki's alters.  That is when I was first really impressed with Erika Slezak's talent.  And I don't watch Passions--haven't seen it at all.  I get a lot of hope out of little things like Jess/Tess calling Todd by all his made-up DID names.  A tribute to history makes me think they can do it again.

  • Bree Williamson was wonderful in the scenes where Tess was fooling Todd. I LOLed when she started all innocent as Jessica and then bam! Tess reads Todd like a book and vice versa. I am loving this Todd/Tess interaction. ladfan
  • Besides the little nods to history, I like how things are plotted out. Clint asks Jared to go to Bogota to find Langston's long-lost relative days before Natalie shows back up on the screen. When I saw her I thought, yeah, that's how they get Jared out of Llanview so he won't be looking for her while she's in the basement. I liked the Dorian in the basement story too, and wouldn't mind another of that caliber. The writers are up to it, BW is too, but alas, MA is no RS. Wanda Wolek
  • I remember LOL when Dorian tried to get near Viki/Jean? & bounced off the glass wall..was soo funny...G
