Additional Comments:

Finally, Cole does something that makes him worthy of being the son of Marty Saybrooke and Patrick Thornheart.  In the hands of a lesser group of writers, Cole would have kept it secret that Clint is behind Ray's custody request for Langston.  It would have been justified by sayign Cole was afraid of being tossed out.  And think of the drama once Starr and Langston found out!!!!  (All of it plot driven, but hey, drama is drama to some hacks.)  But Cole stayed true to character and told Langston as soon as he found out.  He didn't bat an eye about the veiled threats made by Clint if he didn't keep his mouth shut.  Now this gives a nasty little story an interesting twist.  What will Dorian do once she learns?  And Nora?  He'll lose Nora - and probably a place to live - for sure, but will he get back BE?  Somehow, I doubt it.

And may I just say I love Addie.  I loved her talk with Dorian, and the fact that Dorian is finally starting to see her sister in a different light, as an equal and not as a woman-child who needs taking care of.  But what I loved most was when she went up to Brody and said with such compassion, "If it hurts, it will heal."  I've always loved whacky but wise Addie, but I just adore this strong, compassionate, (and slightly whacky) woman even more.

Everybody is so hard on Cole, and I can't figure out why? Is it the character, or the actor who plays him that everyone dislikes? I think the actor is very, very good for one so young. He has been given some tough SL's since joining the show, and he never misses a beat or mumbles a line. I have always liked him. I knew immediatly that he would squeel on bad boy Clint.

  • I don't get why everybody is so tough on Cole either. They're okay with Shane mouthing off every chance he gets. I never had anything against Cole, and I think he's a decent actor.
  • My major problem with Cole is the actor. I don't think he is good. He has moments when he shines, usually when he needs to portray anger. And I thought he was very good when he told Starr he would give up custody but why that act would break them up forever. But most of the time BB plays Cole without a lot of subtext. Why did we need to wait for the scene where the writers finally have Cole say what we are guessing are his motivations but BB never shows us? I have said from the very beginning that I would probably like Cole a lot better if played by a different actor. Wanda
  • All Shane ever does is portray anger, being nasty, and bratty yet everyone but me seems to think he's a cute little kid who has every right to tell off adults. I guess I don't get it.
  • Actually, the kid playing Shane does more than anger. He does adoration and confusion. When Shane was listening to Gigi explain about Rex, the actor was listening and interacting to everything FF said instead of giving a blank stare. That's the difference between the kid who plays Shane and BB. Wanda

ITA 100% I've never liked Cole so much and I've never despised Clint so thoroughly. I think this will (blessedly) be the end of Norah's simpering acceptance of Clint. As for Addie, she is such an amazing presence on this show -- such a voice of wisdom and soulfulness. And boy oh boy, does Dorian needs her to keep her on track. Addie forever!

I was cheering for Cole, too. He finally did something admirable. I loved that he didn't let that creep Clint get to him. Hope this means Clint gets his comeuppance that much sooner, and that Langston isn't going anywhere.

As for Addie, I loved seeing her strength and seeing Dorian take her seriously. They were the best part of Monday's show.

  • I doubt Langston is going anywhere. What I would love is for her to file for emancipation. She's demonstrated that she's quite capable of taking care of herself. After Ray leaves, she could go back to living with Dorian. Why should a piece of paper change her status as a ((gag)) Cramer? Wanda

Wanda, you saved me a Cole cheering post.  He did himself proud yesterday.  I was hoping that he would tell Langston, but was expecting him to keep the secret in true soap fashion.  I was very happy when he went right over to Dorian's and told Langston.

Clint has completely jumped the shark for me.  Who does he think he is, trying to blackmail Cole like that?  Cole is living in the mansion because of Nora.  It has nothing to do with Clint.  Nora is his guardian and she is taking care of him.  While Clint might be living in the same house, it doesn't give him any right over Cole.  For once, I wanted Cole to punch him.  If Nora heard that exchange, she would kick Clint out of the mansion.  Although, the current version of Nora would turn Cole out.  I hate what living in that house and dating Clint has done to Nora.

As for Addie, ICAM with your assessment.  I love her and her unconditional support for her sister.  I was glad that she came to visit Dorian and gave her much needed support.  I hope they keep her involved in this storyline.

  • Nora's blinders are coming off. I suspect when she learns that Clint was blackmailing/threatening Cole, that will be the last straw. I can't wait for the look on Clint's face when Nora kicks him and Dallas out of HER house.
  • I would much prefer if Nora turned over the mansion to Renee and bought a new house. She can move to the new house with Matthew and Cole. I just want her to get away from the Buchanans. ladfan
  • I think Renee's too much of a Buke loyalist to kick Clint to the curb -- that's Norah's job! -- Rhonda eom

Why was Brody in the jail across from Dorian? Don't these writters know that they don't keep men and women in the same jail? It isn't just OLTL, AMC does this same stupid thing as well.

Oh, Wanda, how I hate to admit this since I been hatin' him so long, but Cole did himself proud today.  I can't say he is suddenly my favorite, but at least I see a glimmer of hope that my first reaction isn't projectile vomiting.

Now, about Clint:  What a bastage!  He is Asa incarnate.  Remember last week when he was saying how no real harm would come to Langston, and that Ray would just act like he was taking her?  Now it seems that Clint has gone completely to the dark side.  He has lost all humanity at this point.

  • Now I know Cole did good if you got a bit of praise from you. Oh, how I agree about Clint. I said a few days ago that every show needs an Asa-like character and now that PC is gone, Clint is being made over into Asa's image. I have to hand it to JvD. He's doing a good job as Clint the bastage. Wanda
  • I have to agree with you about Cole, sea. Although-what is the point of telling Langston and Dorian now? Although Cole was great in finding out things with Clint, it was tweedledum and tweedledee again. These kids will do something stupid like hide Langston in a closet or something. The law is the law-maybe Cole will tell Nora and go through proper legal channels where it will make a difference.. -lj
