Topic: Roxy's daydream while talking to Marty

Additional Comments:

I apologize if this has already been discussed.  I looked for a topic but didn't see anything.

While Roxy and Marty were talking, Roxy's mind wandered off to a scene with her and Allison. Allison had a baby and Roxy said, what about the boy. Allison said, I have him, now get in there and pushed Roxy into a room.  Was that some sort of clue that maybe Allison switched babys?  Maybe Roxy actually gave birth to Schyler?  Dr. Joplin was single and could have adoted him.  I know that is reaching but it has to have some significance or they would not have put it in.

If Schuyler turns out to be Mitch's son and Rex doesn't then that means that the months and months of who is your daddy speculation and dramatic build up that the writers have been subjecting us to would all be one big anti climax!
It also means that we still don't know who Rex's father really was after all, unless he really was Walter Balsom.
Wanda's right in that Roxy still has to be Rex's mother in order for the whole stem cell match to work and that would mean that Roxy and Mitch would have to be siblings.
Whatever it is I really hope they resolve it quickly, so they can get this story over with once and for all! They have tortured their viewers long enough!

I still think Rex and Schy are twins. Roxy knows she gave birth to twins but is terrified to speak up. And considering how Roxy reacts when Mitch is mentioned she was probably raped.

It was very late last night when I watched OLTL, and maybe I missed something, but I thought it would turn out that Rex isn't Mitch's son--Schuyler is.  I don't know what Roxy's memory means, and the writers have some 'splainin' to do.  For those of you who pay a lot more attention than I do, I have a couple of questions:  Was there ever a DNA test to prove Rex is Mitch's son, or did he just take Roxy's word for it?  There is that vial of Mitch's blood lurking somewhere in a refrigerator, and I can't help but think it must have some use now that Stacy is dead.  And, the last time Allison Perkins was around, did we even know Gigi yet?  Gigi acted like she knew Allison, but I don't remember how.

And another thing:  I think FF is just absolutely gorgeous.

  • I was thinking the same thing, Schyler, not Rex is Mitch's son. However, if they did that, would it be just a coincidence that Mitch's blood saved Shane? Also, ICAM about FF, she is gorgeous. At first the blonde hair looked bad on her but they have toned it down or done something. It looks much much nicer now and is really becoming to her....Nicki
  • sea, when FF was on Days, it drove me crazy that her character was supposed to be the dowdy unattractive one-she is really attractive. vh
  • If Mitch and Roxy are siblings, it may explain why Mitch was still a match for Shane. It's not a great explanation, but it is one. The bigger question is - is Rex really Roxy's son? He must be for the Mitch-as-stem-cell-donor to work, and Roxy must think Rex is hers by Mitch, but is he? Wanda Wolek

I was thinking maybe she gave birth to twins...and they took one of them...and let her keep one...the reason she had to get in there and lay back down, was to give birth to the other baby...and she was just telling Gigi that Allison took Rex, when actually it was his twin brother...because that is her awful secret...she gave birth to twins...

    that's my theory.

  • Is it too late for Roxy to abort Rexy? Long time no see, soapy.. about 9 months...

That sure seems to be the implication.  Yet, Allison included Shane in her "Mitch's family photo album".  If she switched the babies, why include Shane as one of Mitch's grandchildren?  I hope the writers don't go the "the mother gave birth to twins but doesn't remember it" route that they took when Viki gave birth to Jessica and Natalie, but if it's not a baby switch that seems to be where this is headed - which is all for nothing based on a casting spoiler discussed further up on the board.

  • I just thought of something. Maybe Allison is going to claim to have switched the babies - Rex for Schuyler - but didn't really. She's got some plan for getting Mitch out that centers around Schuyler. Who's to say she's telling the truth if she confesses to a baby switch? Wanda
  • That is what I think that Allison's plan is, Wanda. I think that she's going to use Schuyler and the baby in some way to help Mitch escape from jail. I don't think that Roxy had twins or Allison switched Rex for Schuyler, but that Allison is going to say she did. Allison and Mitch don't know everything......neither of them have realized that Fish is the baby's father!! eom/Tex

Maybe Roxy's awful secret is that she left Rex with Allison and he got circumcised.

    Replies: (list all replies)

  • what???
  • No, I meant circumcision, a medically unnecessary genital mutilation routinely practised by barbarians on helpless babies. No wonder Roxy's ashamed.
  • All boys are most assuredly NOT circumcised at birth. Fewer and fewer male babies in the US, in fact, are. And in Europe only Jews have been traditionally subjected to the procedure. If God didn't think little boys should have foreskins on their penises He wouldn't have put them there. And BTW, many OBs are not interested in doing circumcision, nor are they very good at it. I've seen quite a few horribly botched ones over the years that require plastic surgery. /SheilaT
  • guess I was ...
  • According to the World Health Organization, it is not a health issue. There is no clear evidence that the presence or absence of a foreskin affects a male's ability to use soap and water.
  • minnie mouse, just don't sleep with men who don't wash, and make sure they use condoms. You should be fine. /SheilaT
