Guess Rex can't tell when someone is trying to force tea down his throat.
As Red Foreman would say, "Dumb ass!'.

OK, Rex is a dumb-ass, BUT, what does that make Natalie and Jessica? They should have thought, gosh, first Jared is gone, then Brody has a family emergency with his sister, NOW, Rex get a sudden life-and-death phone call from his aunt! Golly, I think he should go and leave us alone out here where no one knows where we are, but we are sure someone has been here! After all, all of this sounds legit, right, especially since all this crazy stuff is going on, and Jessica gets a call from a definitely dead Nash, and it looks like we've been lured here!? And really, why would that know-it-all moron Natalie not want to call the police to tell them where they are? And better still, why would her dumber-than-dirt sister Jessica go along with all of this? They all are seriously, to dumb to live!

My biggest complaint with Rex today was that he never questioned Nadine's presence. If I was him, I'd want to know who this woman was. Also, we've been told that this is Brody's mother's house, wouldn't Rex want to know why his Aunt is staying in a different house? The writers could have solved all this easily:
Nadine: Come in.
Rex: Who are you?
Nadine: I'm your Aunt's RN; when she took a turn for the worse, I had to move her to my place for round the clock medical care.
Rex: Well thank God she's not going through this alone, where is she?
That's all the writers had to do to fix that glaring problem. And as for the tea, really? I don't really see Rex (or Brody) as tea drinkers. It seems they'd prefer a coffee or a beer (or Ovaltine).

Since everything revolves around me, I read that as "force Tea" down his throat, and my first reaction was "I feel the same way." Then I realized the need for capital letters....but I digress.
You do love Red, don't you? Anyway, I think it is a pity that Rex is being written this way. Whatever happened to the great relationship he had with Bo? I'm going to have to blame Gigi and her stupid hair.

The sad part is...in JP's first couple of years playing Rex, he was, aside from his Metro-Goofy ways, a very shrewd and savvy guy - especially when being a Private Eyeball.
Now, sadly, he has suffered the fate that all soap characters eventually get desrinted for:
Being Dumbed-Down till they are mere cartoonish shells, parodies and caricatures of themselves.
If I needed a Private Eyes these days, I'd trust Inspector Gadget more than Rex...
