Children? Adults? Pick a side! I know that Cole the Troll has said he would take care of Starr and their baby because "I love you so much" (thisisarecording). Now I don't know how everyone else felt in their first trimester, but I don't think eating junk food and riding the Tilt-a-Whirl were on my to do list. Let's pretend we are carefree and have money to blow on an amusement park. After all, Cole (the T) just sold his only means of transportation for $900. What better way to make use of that?

It is so obvious that Starr knows she is in way over her head, but instead of urging her to at least go to a clinic to be checked out, Cole gets her a stuffed animal. Because...say it with me now...I love you so much!

I know on some level that this is wrong, yet I want Todd to find them and make slaw out of that boy.

You don't need to twist my arm for a Cole bash. I just hate that he has Starr on the run and living in a roach motel and eating junk food. Why on earth would Starr do this? Cole is not all that. He is a selfish little twit who is only looking out for his needs and interests. The old Starr wouldn't give him a second glance, much less sleep with him.

How about Both? Since he is the only actor I have seen in the role, I say both. If they must keep him on, they should recast with someone who is not a statue. ladfan

Starr should be at home, getting the care she and the baby need. Cole must realize this, but he insists on having his way. He wants to be a big man and take care of her, what a joke. How is having her live in a rat hole, eat junk food, and being on her feet wating tables all summer "taking care of her"??

And the scenes with them going on rides, etc. were ridiculous, too. As if Starr would really feel like doing that, being nauseas all the time. I think those scenes were meant to show us how they are really still just a couple of innocent kids at heart.

I don't want to be mean, BUT I really think this whole storyline would be alot easier for me to take if they would just recast Cole. I've never liked the actor who plays him, I just don't think he's very talented. I do think he's improved over time, but IMO they should have recast him after Marty "died". Now that Susan Haskell is returning as Marty, I can't even believe this kid will be playing the role of her son. Maybe working with her will improve his performance. I sure hope so.

I can't see why the actor who plays Nash is being fired and TPTB are still holding on to this guy.

Well, I'm not too crazy about Nash, either, but I agree that if this were the actor who plays Markko, it might be more tolerable. I don't think BB has improved one bit and I don't think I have ever loathed a character as much as I do this one. eom/sea

Ah, sea, I knew you would come around to a recast. LOL ITA that another actor, perhaps someone like the guy playing Markko, would help the viewer buy Cole and where he's coming from. But BB just isn't selling it. BB might be a good actor (although I've not seen much evidence of that) who is struggling with the pace of soaps. If he went to something else, he might shine. But he's lackluster on OLTL and it's killing the story. Wanda Wolek

Wanda, I don't believe I have not been enthusiastic (that may be a little strong) about a recast. I just haaaaaaaaate this actor and have since about Day One. When I first saw him I thought he looked like a bad boxer and his continued wooden acting has not endeared me to him. So, mostly I hate the actor. If I found him the least bit attractive I might buy Starr falling for him. Shallow, you say? I'm okay with that. eom/sea

Nah, that's not shallow. Or if it is, I'm just as shallow because I've always wondered what Cole has that made Starr and Brittney both want him. He's average looking at best, and has the personality of a dishrag. As ladfan says, Cole as protrayed by BB is a dullard. Would be still be a dullard with a different actor? Doubt it. Wanda

What is really unbelievable is to believe that Starr would be attracted to a dullard-her parents are Todd and Blair, for Pete's sake. I hope they end this stupid SL soon. -lj

What's really sad is that Cole is the child of Patrick and Marty, neither of them dullards. I still hold out hope for the character, but not as long as BB is in the role. Wanda

Cole is taking one of Todd's children away, and only thinking of himself and what Cole wants, instead of everyone else, especially Todd-he biological father. And also the biological grandfather. Cole isn't even thinking about what's best for Starr. Starr should be seeing a doctor and getting decent healthcare. And we are supposed to believe that Cole loves Starr? At this point, I think Cole just wants to get back at Todd what Todd did years ago to his mother.

What reaction would a parent have if Cole substitued sex with drugs?

I don't think Cole is smart enough to do this for revenge. I think it is like you said--he is only thinking about his needs. He loses nothing by running away. eom/sea

Cole has a trust fund ... Marty was quite well off ... so he should have no trouble supporting Star! n'est-ce pas?

Only because Todd is involved. He'll see that the baby is provided for. Why isn't Cole dipping into that trust fund money now?
