Additional Comments: I'm tired of the crazy Mitch storyline, too...but it is undeniable that Roscoe Born has great charm and chemistry with all the ladies on the show. The only viable 'older' leading man they have (or will soon, I think) is Clint, and if he stays married to Kim in her absence, there goes that.

Clint has already had relationships with Viki, Dorian and Nora, so...who is left? Charlie? Well, he's still married to Viki and frankly, I'd like someone with a little more sex appeal. That would be Roscoe Born.

Anyone remember RB as Robert Barr and then his twin, Quinn, on "Santa Barbara"? He was excellent there.

I don't care for this Roscoe person. Hate the character of Mitch with a white hot passion, and hate the storyline even more. Just make him go away, permanently.

Roscoe Born IS a wonderful actor--loads of talent. However, he is unreliable. He doesn't like to stick around very long anymore. There was a time when he did, but since his walk out on AMC several yrs ago, he hasn't had a really committed relationship w/any soap. It would be great if he would stay in one place, playing one character for awhile.

Gosh, it's interesting how you and I both remember the AMC walkout. That was twelve years ago, I think. I wonder if the business punishes him for that, even over a decade later. Hope not. - hurricaneisabel

People in positions of authority DO remember such things long after they happened. It sets a pattern in their minds that means unreliability & potential loss of $$. Not to mention insurance & other aspects of any production. While some don't think that it does reflect badly on RB, or any actor, in truth it does. Anyone who walks out on a show like that has a lot to do to prove themselves worthy again, but even if they prove themselves it isn't something that is forgotten. eom

Roscoe Born was on Y&R last year. There was a problem with him and he was fired after less than a month. They had to scramble to make radical changes. His character was portrayed by someone in a silver rodent head. It was almost as bad as what he did at AMC. It's hard to believe he objected to portraying a child pornographer in PV but he didn't object to Mitch nearly raping his own daughter in Llanview.

Longtime Lurker: ICAM! I would LOVE nothing more than to emotionally invest in characters that RB plays, but that is difficult to do when he has made such a reputation of being so unreliable--at least w/the audience. He is a fantastic actor w/lots to offer, it is just a shame that we can't seem to see him onscreen for longer stretches! eom
