Seriously the standoff between John and Mitch was chock full of rampant stupidity. John actually pulls off the rescue and idiotic Natalie runs right past Mitch so he could grab her. It was as if she actually put Mitch's arm around her herself. Super John somehow manages to end that mini-crisis and has Mitch actually surrendering but rather than wait until Mitch's gun has been dropped and secured, he turns around to make sure Nat and Jared are alright, allowing Mitch to fire the gun.

I can only think of two reasons for John's sloppy work...he is working with Mitch or he wanted to allow Jared to be shot, freeing up Natalie. Okay I know neither of these scenarios are true but his moronic actions make you wonder...

Actually, I find it all very amusing because it reminds me so much of that scene in the Austin Power's movie when Dr. Evil is going to throw Powers to the sharks, and his son, Scott Evil is yelling at him to "just shoot him" because Powers escapes every time.

Brody screwed up like John. This is the second rescue they've botched causing injuries and death. It's hard to believe he was ever a Navy Seal or that John is ex-FBI. Brody grabbed Jess so he couldn't do anything else. He was useless. Nobody called for backup either. Nat should be cursing John and Brody for getting Jared killed.

Nat was also stupid for jumping in front of Mitch with a gun in his hand. He then proceeds to grab her by the hair preventing her to go any further. Just what did she think she was going to do? Mitch should have just shot her and got it over with. She's a real dumb bunny. Jessica started to jump forward also until Brody pulled her back. What is wrong with these two? They know how dangerous Mtich is. Nat made it worse by doing that. John did have him in is range to shoot him. I guess Nat was trying to jump in front of Jared to protect him. Stupid Girl! Precious

Let's take it one step further-since you've pointed out how foolish Nat was to run right by Mitch, thereby giving him the opportunity (nay,, begging him) to capture her, shall we postulate that Nat wanted John to have to make the choice, thereby possibly freeing her up so she could get John back?

I have to agree. Did he really think that Mitch Laurence was going to give up so easily? John knew how many people Mitch involved in this scheme to capture Jess & Nat & now he's going to give up just like that?. LOL I normally don't have a problem with John like others do. But yesterday I just laughed at how stupid he was. GO MITCH!! Roscoe looks good too & so far he's not cartoonish like he was back in 2003.
