Additional Comments: If Lindsay and Vincent are recurring characters, how come they are in the opening credits? Should't they have been removed like Renee, Roxie and RJ? Just curious.

It's really up to TPTB and whatever arrangement they have with the particular actor.

At one time, it was nearly a given that a show's opening credits (talent versions, ones that feature the cast) would reflect contract roles. With contracts becoming less common overall, giving way to more recurring deals, I think that former rule-of-thumb has loosened up a bit.
