Topic: Dorian's claim to fame - NOT!

Yesterday, when Dorian said that she would be the U.S.A's first out, gay, married-to-her-partner mayor, someone didn't do her research. Denise Simmons, the mayor of Cambridge, MA, and her wife Mattie Hayes celebrated their legal marriage in August. (In an African-American church, too.) I would be surprised if none of the other openly gay mayors in the country are married, legally or not.

The Mayor of Redondo Beach, California, Mike Gin, is legally married to his husband, Christopher Kreidel.  They've been together 14 years and were married during the five month period when our state had marriage equality for all its citizens.  Those marriages will remain valid and recognized.
