Topic: Spin-Off Topic...David Vickers...I Think David has Major Abandonment Issues.

Mostly with Dorian.

I know the guy has done some things that aren't exactly noble...but you can tell he has a Good Heart in there somewhere.

I really think he truly misses what Bo and Clint and Kevin and Joey and Asa had as a Family growing up.

I also think he is truly hurt by all the times Dr Lord has strung him along then left or dropped him.

So. I guess, David is not the best guy in the world (hes CERTAINLY no John McBain) but i DO thik he has a deep heart and that most of his problems stem from Abandonment Issues.

At least...THATS what I think about it!!!

Didn't he idolize Spencer True-Man and/or his dad when he was a kid?  I am getting the details of the story mixed up with John's story at the time, cause we KNOW John worshipped Mr. McBayne.  And wasn't David and Spencer's mother a prostitute?

Yes, I think he has a heart of gold.  It took someone (Viki) treating him with respect to find out for himself.  You'd have to be in great need of affection to put up with the nasty way the Buchannons treat him, even knowing he's a relative.

I've been disappointed with his last two stints on the show, but his scenes with Matthew and his scenes with Destiny were worth the rest of the idiocy.

I would have loved them to extend the Reality Show Shennanigans a bit longer...could have been gold and right up Tuc and David's alley....I agree that while there have been nice moments and one-liners his last two stints have been mostly wasted....thends to happen more on more on soaps with Return Stints for characters... - chris
