This is really fun for me. There were years when I didn't watch soaps on and off, but there are almost no ABC characters that I missed entirely. Cain Rogan (sp?), however, is completely new to me. CC is a hottie, and talented to boot. Maybe he will make Tina bearable after all?
Christopher Cousins was also on ATWT from 90-91, playing Colin Crowley.
According to his credits, he has been doing a lot over the last several yrs. His film credits include The Grudge 2(starring AMC alum Sarah Michelle Gellar) and Wicker Park. His tv credits include American Dreams (starring GL alum Brittany Snow), Close To Home (star was a B&B alum), CSI: Miami, CSI: NY (starring GL alum Melina Kanakaredes), Family Law, Cold Case, JAG, Law & Order, Lipstick Jungle (starring AMC alum Lindsay Price; recurring--Noelle Beck now Lily/ATWT), Shark (costarring AW alum, Henry Simmons) & The Practice.
According to his bio, he is married, w/one child.

The actor you're referring to is Christopher Cousins. The actual role he is playing is that of Cain Rogan, a role Cousins played on OLTL from 1991-94. Cain Rogan was introduced to Llanview as a chameleon con-man, who had seemed to reform after he fell in love with Tina (then played by Karen Witter).
When Witter left the show, Cain was written out along with Witter's Tina. The two were married, but their marriage was performed by a fake minister - thanks to Cain's conniving ex, Angela. Tina (in the form of Krista Tesreau) returned to town after Cain returned to pulling cons and landed himself in the slammer. Her relatively brief stint back in Llanview included involvement - and an even more brief marriage - to David Vickers. Having split with David, Tina - along with hers and ex-husband Cord Robert's children, C.J. & Sarah - left Llanview once more to take a Designer job in Baltimore.
Years would go by with barely a mention of Tina. When Tina's daughter, Sarah (aka Flash) resurfaced in Llanview in 2003, she explained that Tina had reunited with Cain - and that she and Cain did not get along, which provoked her to run off to Llanview. At that point, Tina's sister, Viki stated that she was no longer able to contact Tina. Five years later, here we are.
Back to the actor, Christopher Cousins: To my knowledge, he has never appeared on Passions. The only other soap I recall him on is As the World Turns, and that was prior to him ever appearing on OLTL. Andrea Evans is married, and has never been involved with Cousins. (It's worth noting that AE's Tina never appeared with Cousins as Cain, nor Tuc Watkins as David Vickers.)
However, Cousins did have a romance with ex-Tina Karen Witter, when Cain & Tina's on-screen chemistry evidently spilled into real life. Witter is now married to TV producer Chuck Lorre (whose credits include Two and a Half Men, and Dharma & Greg). I believe Cousins is also married.
The actress who plays Marty's nurse, Janet, is Janet Zarish - an accomplished stage actress. You may remember her from her previous OLTL stint in the mid-late 80's, as Lee Halpern Sanders - successful business woman, former prostitute, and long-lost mother of MaryLinn Dennison / wife of Tom Dennison. Lee was accidentally killed when MaryLinn fired a bullet meant for their attacker.
